Are we just biased and emotional simply because the victim is a motorcyclist? What if he/she was a car driver?

Food for thought.

Have you ever been in an accident while riding? A slight bump car to car makes a minor scratch, a slight bump car to bike means you might hit the tarmac and possibly get seriously injured. We have no airbags, seatbelts or a metal cage.

So I wouldn't give two hoots if they simply let off the driver if he bumped into another car but its different thing if you're letting people off with a warning after attempting to kill someone due to negligence.

I don't see the TP letting off someone with a warning for riding recklessly or the LTA giving the person a pat on the back for illegal exhaust, obviously they have their priorities screwed. Driving without valid license means the mofo has no license, at all.

You guys know everytime the TP carry out those random spot checks/ road blocks, they can find several drink driving morons or idiots who are driving w/o licenses.

Seriously wtf.

The laws are very lenient with people who break the law on the roads.

You hang a guy who smuggled in drugs, because of the negative impact of drugs to society.

But for a guy who caused deaths through 'rash' driving, you gave him a fine and 1 day jail.

Wtf x 2

Traffic Police? What's the point of catching these morons when them are let off lightly?

Before we all go crazy, can anyone verify that the image is not photochopped?

How did this letter even get leaked?

Driving without license and driving without valid license is 2 separate things. Without license means no license at all. Without valid license means the person has for example an auto license but got into an accident while driving a manual car

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

Correct me if I'm wrong, isn't that the same as no class 2 but ride a class 2 bike? That's still not having the license ah..

Hmm I thought you got caught riding a class2 bike without license before? And the Tp officer let you off with warning? Maybe this is the same case?

here's TP's reply

Police said in a statement (Jan 3):

"With regard to the STOMP posting 'Driver caught without licence gets away with just stern warning', Police would like to explain that it is not a straightforward case of a driver driving without a licence.

"At the time of the accident, the driving licence of the car driver, who was above the age of 65 yrs old, was deemed invalid pending his submission to Traffic Police his medical report on his fitness to drive.

"This medical report is required by law for car drivers aged 65 yrs old and above.

"The driver has since submitted his medical report, certifying him fit to drive.

"The car driver was administered a stern warning after having considered the facts and circumstances of the case, and in consultation with the Attorney-General’s Chambers."

I'm damn curious... Who approved the construction companies to do works on the road? LTA. The construction works approved by LTA caused our vehicles to fall apart... Who summon us? LTA and TP. So, construction companies pay LTA to get approval to do works, we use the freaking uneven roads, our parts drop/break, we get summoned by LTA and TP... Who do we go to and ask for compensation if our vehicles breaking down when using the fcuked up roads? The construction companies or LTA?

More and more to sub-cons, mostly ran by FTs, if got Singaporeans, usually there to fill up quota only...that's why the workmanship has gotten worse. Try appealing la since your pipe is stock but I wouldn't count on it. Gahmen quite cockup, same goes for the rest of the body.

What the fu.ck? Didn't the TP just contradicted themselves? They had already stated: "At the time of the accident, the driving licence of the car driver, who was above the age of 65 yrs old, was deemed invalid". The key word here is "invalid". So, does it matter whether the driver is certified fit again after the subsequent submission of his medical report? So, the TP is trying to opine that the word "invalid" has a time frame attached to it.

They can say and do whatever they deemed fit. Fu.ck to the Singapore Traffic Police. By the way, those DOGS at Stomp must have removed the link because I cannot access to it anymore.

Oh ya... And modified pipe summon $500... Modified cos I welded it back when it broke off due to the new mrt lines at bugis, bukit panjang... They cut open the road, cover it back, cut it open again, cover it back, cut open another side, cover it back... So it's like motocross on tar... Damn uneven surfaces everywhere... Or wad I call mini-humps out of nowhere... Pipe broke due to those mini-humps, new pipe $500, second hand pipe $200, welding $30... Full-time student who doesn't like taking money from parents... Cos they keep nagging... So, pipe broke, welded, summon $500. I don't get it. Its a freaking stock pipe but I still get summoned...

Your rants are very nice.

But driving license issue and vehicle compliance issues are totally different things.
