i have seen some bikers install an additional brake light that will keep flashing whenever they tap their brakes. i think that this is good as it will increase your visibility. that additional brake light seems to be very bright even during the day..

anyone has one installed on their bike? how much does it cost to install one?

it's a good consideration. anything that improves visibility helps.

market rate seems to be around 100-200 sgd. it's called a brake light modulator.

Motoworld also carries them if you looking for other suppliers.

February 2011 - March 2012 = Phantom TA 200

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

I fixed the gadget on my bike, bought it from Unique @ Kaki Bukit, it cost below 100 bucks, It can blink all d way wen u brake or it blinks (FIVE) times and d blinking stop. U can choose which one u wan. It good for day and night riding and on rainy days for bikers. For inspection, you can ask d mechanic to instal a switch or pull out the cable from activate but the stop light still works.

be a smart rider, don't rush:cool:

I don't know about you guys but those who can do soldering i think should go to sim lim tower and mod your own flashing third brake light and tap it to your rear brake light switch.

i had installed it.

I bought it from sim lim tower and i bring it to workshop to install it..

The flashing light is $30 and i placed it below my box rack. angle can be adjusted too. The wire will connect to the original rear brake wire.

cheers!!

All my bikes. I used this. Waterproof. Neat installation. Comes with all hardware for installation. No need to run point A for item 1. Then to point B for item 2 etc. I am not a DIY type of person and i want my item to last after installation. Not used few months and gone case. so i go for products that has been proven by others

I used this brand for my top box

Yup, just take a walk ard Sim Lim Tower. You'll get a lot of ideas and its is definitely cheaper than the light modulator. Just buy some LED strips/ Lights and fix it at the rear bike to increase your visibility. Connect it to your brake light.

I have both, another one with switch to use at NSHW. Looks like a Chingay Vehicle when everything is on. LEDs doesn't drain much current also.
