Just got my 883, oh my god the feeling is good! Everyone is turning their heads... I made the correct decision to change from sport bike to HD!! Loving it

 

Its better than my XR exhaust sound!!! Cant match

I have a question on renewal of insurance. I bought a brand new harley last yr july with hire purchase from May Bank. 1st yr insurance was comprehensive 1st party. My insurance is due for renewal next month and i was told that i cannot downgrade my insurance to 2nd party as long as im still on hire purchase. Has anyone here encounter this situation before? Anyways to go about doin this? =(

 

As long as youre on hire purchase, the insurance should tally with the requirements stated by the financier. Erm geez wheez you should've asked about this before signing the papers - But on the brighter side, better be safe than sorry i guess.

Nobody misses me during my long absence!!

 

I'm back but my Iron is sick

 

Speedo is not working. Odo is not working. Clock is not working. Reserve light doesn't light up. Checked the fuses. All good. Everything else work.

 

BTW, spotted an Iron with number plate 8833 riding past Dawson Place this afternoon ~4:30pm. Wonder if it's of us in this thread. Heard that more and more Irons are making their way on the roads now. About 15 of them!

 

The showroom has been renovated. They got a bigger front door (2 big glass doors) now And we can't walk over to Hyundai for free buffet anymore because they built a new wall.

This happened to me before about 2 years back. I brought my bike to the dealership & the mechanic knew what was wrong immediately. If I remember correctly, it was a broken wire due to wear & tear caused by vibrations.

 

I was riding a 1200 Sportster Sport.

Thanks for the information!! I guess I'll bring it back to the dealership this weekend to get it sorted out. Meanwhile I'm gonna ride 100,000km and the odo will not register any mileage and I can say I don't know how fast I'm going

BTW, any Sportster/Iron owner has a clutch lever (black) that is laying around doing nothing?? I would like to buy it from you!! I think I'm the only Iron rider that still have everything stock on my bike

I prefer the first helmet with the visor, anyone know where to get and how much? Prefer matt finish..

 

I saw ebay got this helmet lock, where to get it in Singapore? I don't like to carry my helmet around.

in the past, i always asked my cbr also bike, harley also bike..why harley exhaust so loud ppl close 1 eye...this question more or less has been answered on sat..

 

anyway, any shops for HD to recommend in the east for checks and servicing? still dont feel comfortable over the big bore kit in my engine..

that is the best I can think of...
