Updates!!!

 

Guys with LV Exhaust...silencer can be bought separately. $110/- each before GST from GMAX.

 

Its your call, I felt if $110/- for a pair I'm ok...but definitely not for 1.

Plan to move off singapore 7am go in first stop gp esso pump and shoot up next stop pump will be pagoh and rest smoke drink pee and move off to melacca.

 

reach liao say hello to ah ma and rest a while chat chat, dan afternoon i will go exprole melacca in cab park my bike in ah ma house hahaha ( this is if i go alone i dont know the place so take cab to exprole lo)

 

moving back to sg will be around 7 or 8 pm same route back.

 

its more of a free and easy trip. =)

sk charged 60 per side, save ur trouble to call..bike werkz charged 30 per side.

I did mine at SK n it look as if it was stock n I'm hapi abt the quility n the workmanship. I've not seen any from bike werkz yet n if they do the same as SK then is damn cheap.

Bro, just like to check whether after installing the SK made silencer, does it still work as a silencer or its just for show?? Pls advice. Further to this, SK made it exactly like the stock silencer?

Hmm... It's just for show only. Putting bk the LV OEM silencer is as if u r using ur stock exhaust. So I went to SK to do since I'm using an after market approve exhaust. So far TP n LTA pass me also nv stop me. But ofcos there is a risk in it.

Hello to all,

 

Wanna ask where do u guys service your rear shocks? If buy brand new one, which brand you recommend?

 

I'm on the heavy side at 100kg and often pillion with weight of about 80kg.

 

 

Pls adv, thx!

My bike was in for servicing at HLC July 29. They said they did this harness change for me then because my chassis number was in the affected batch (and everyone else gets a letter).

which batch? or maybe a referrence to the year of ur bike?

The batch of bikes which are affected with this wiring problem. I don't know anything more other than my bike's chassis number was in the batch. My bike is a 2007 model.

Recall affects 06 to 09 bikes. If u are affected you should be getting a letter. Got.mine yesterday.

Speaking of recall for the said model n year..I didn't receive any cos mine was 10 model but my wiring got this earth sub harness prob and modified Liao..

Parking area..was informed by immigration police that they are having an ops to chk for stolen bike..recently there's this new triumph was stolen at pan pacific hotel n it's brand new bike...

Bro...for the rear shock it can be rebuilt at HKL..if u wanna buy new ones u wld recommend ohlins bro...;)

nazzi, thanks for your reply. Ok with that doubt erased on my mind, my next question to you is, if given a choice, which model of the FJR's would you prefer? (or are all the same?).

 

Any useful tips you wanna share to a newbie like me regardin this bike? I was told that the swingarm is made of

aluminium and overtime, it will break? Is that true?
