Trailtech has quality stuff but usually not cheap.

You should be able to get DPST or other types with rocker and/or flip switches. It's the push button ones that may be more limited. nicely packaged ones (liek the trailtech) are a different story :)

Jerry: Better be safe, as the last time a good friend ordered a part for me first then good bloke picked it up for me days later. Thank you Elan and Iskandar. But then that was not a usual wear and tear part.

I just asked trail tech, they quoted USD48 to ship to Singapore, so I ordered the on/off switch from ebay instead USD24 inclusive of shipping (approx 1 week to reach)

Vince, school starts on the 8th Aug for me. I should get all my bike stuff settled before that, perhaps you would like to reschedule one trip up soon? But only if you are confident in getting your parts.

It's pretty much hopeless, they wouldn't bend over for anything. On what grounds are you appealing ?

Good luck! They'll then charge you labour (XX x minimum wage), then insurance to cover themselves in case they did repack properly and the item is damaged and you sue them, etc. etc. Unfortunately, it's all about making money instead of logic and principles, nowadays.

I am not sure if I can cut losses, I just check that I can RMA and get a full refund plus 10pounds cap for postage to return the item in original packing within 30days. I just got my RMA number from the vendor, now pending VPOST reply and quote to return my package to the vendor. Wish me luck. Then I am going to get my GIVI rack from JB.

vpost do charge you to reship it. Happened to me last time as the CA site do not ship certain items back to SIN but the OR site does, and it's NOT stated. POS. So I have to pay them shipping from CA to OR, then to SIN.

Ben, are you just servicing you bike? If so, let's just go to a local one first. Doubt I've time to schedule another on a weekday. Next Sat at HKL?

I haven't really figured out what I would like to do as of now. I'm in no hurry since the bike hasn't even seen 1k mileage since I bought it months ago. Actually, I can wait, but I would like to look for a pair of brake levers that fit my rcs19 which is adjustable like the stock ones. I dread the stock brembo levers because they are way out of reach for my fingers!

Then there is the case of brake lines, am unsure if I should get stock length or +2" just in anticipation for someone to *hint* sell me their forks and brakes. ;)

I sell you my stock Z1 fork and brakes :)

Thought you in a hurry to service the bike, go opportunity to do the airbox together. No rush then.

RCS has adjustable reach as well, you sacrifice leverage though. Dump that junk. Get ISR controls. Drool on this:

FYI, the Fresco exhaust is no go as they can't produce the test report to get it approve by LTA. The search continues.

Fresco is no go but that doesn't mean we still can't bring one in. Ha, should be no problem for me since it's always a short ride for me. ISR looks like a lot of money to invest. ;)

I called VPOST customer service today to return my package to the vendor for refund but I was told my package is already processed and the item already in SG. I asked why they ship my item when I did not agree to the cost, she says as long as the invoice match they will ship. I told her that I am not going to pay as VPOST has shipped without my consent and asked for refund for the item value.

The CS then asked for my consent to dispose if I do not agree to the charges and she will check with the officer in charge and reply via email to my request for refund of item value.

Damm looks like I cant send back my item to the vendor to get back my refund and I will have to bite on VPOST to refund me.

Also I went to MAH motor to check on the GIVI rack was told the FZ series rack cost $220 onwards, they did not give the exact figure for my model and says the next shipment will be coming in next month as the ang moh are having summer vacations. So its still cheaper to order from GIVI malaysia.

Hi where to get 2nd hand z1000 bike?

Here, as a few may be tempted to sell if the price is right :)

Ben:

Am thinking of bringing it in anyway but it's just too costly for me for an illegal exhaust, even though I do not have much other options that I like.

Okay, if you are ordering one, let me know. I will seriously consider putting my name down for one.
