it is very true bro, it boils down ultimately to the person's character, attitude and mentality.

 

it is just sheer foolishness to commit these kind of acts on local streets and roads. it shows how immature and irresponsible they are...

 

cannot say like that la. when i ride my scrambler, i change into a road hooligan. but when i ride on my small bike, i turn into a road hogger. the bike stimulates different kind of response for the rider la.

think about it again bro... a bike is an non-animate object, totally devoid of an will of its own, emotions and conscience.

 

the rider controls the bike and not the other way round.

 

a show off and yaya kind of rider will always show off/riding recklessly on the roads on whatever bike he is riding.

 

a considerate and safe rider will always ride safe on whatever bike he is ridng, be considerate and thinks of other road users.

 

if you are saying different bikes, more aggressive and powerful bikes will turn you into a 'road hooligan'. then something is not very right with you and your thinking...

im going to SSDC for my class 2A, looking forward to trying out their brand new multi-storey circuit in woodlands.

what im underlining is, how a person rides depends on how mature the rider is, knowing what should be done under different situations and conditions. it does not depend on what kind of bike a person is riding. a machine is dead, a person is alive.

1440hrs traveling along SLE toward city, b4 Mandai exit.

 

Traveling on center lane 1st veh (Toyota Vios), red scooter n me.. traveling in safe distance. Suddenly the Toyota vios did a e brake for nothing, me n the scooter got a shock !!

 

Lucky we r traveling in safe distance.

 

I find something funny about the Toyota vios, when he did the ebrake only the right rear wheel got lock n a lot of smoke came out . I thought Vios come with ABS how come wheel still can get locked?? n only one wheel got lock

rich people with an arrogant and elitist attitude is number one on my hate list. it's the attitude and down to earth attitude that matters. i meet and liase with very rich customers in my dealings at work, both humble and the proud.

This evening while riding along Boundary Rd/Lor chuan junction. Driver suddenly swerve out from the stationary right turn queue.. wa ccb!! Brake brake brake brake!!! Managed to avoid hitting the idiot while i was cruising on the downslope.

 

Followed him to serangoon ave 2 junction, Stopped beside him look at him.... he pretend pretend don't notice me.... motion for him to wind down the window ask him, "eh... friend, don't like that leh.... you almost killed me you know??" Voice was still weak from the shock....

 

"ouh....... sorry lor..."

 

I didn't say another word i just rode off to the nearest petrol station, bought a pack of marlboro light.... And i haven't smoked in a year.

Because there is none goodness of the singapore drivers to talk about to start. Those pure driver (does not ride motorbike) attitude and mentality on road is simply hazardous. Lets compared the mentality of rider cum driver and driver only. This is my perception though. Gathering from what i heard from driver friends and taxi.

 

1. Rider cum driver - own a car and bike. Bike is the main mode of transport and car is usually meant for alternative transport especially during bad weather. As a driver on the road, learnt to watch out for fellow riders and tend to drive at a relax pace. One cool cumcumber on the road. Because these groups of people understand the pros and cons of riding and driving.

 

2. Drivers only - car installment expensive and petrol price super high. Since i paid SO MUCH, i own the road. They believes the world should rip motorbikes off it face, car is always better that motorbike, motorbike is just as irritating as bicycle and they should ride on pavement. Because the car is very big, if i lane change without switching on the signal, i am not in the wrong because you should be able to see me and give way.

 

Putting two groups together.....WOuld there ever be peace and understanding? Never......

 

i belong to group 1 and usually when i'm driving, i tend give way to bikers. upon seeing them lane split, just let them have their own space because riders usually know how to judge the distance when lane splitting

 

i aso understand that many drivers dislike riders squeezing thru the traffic and stop in front of traffic junctions, making them feel we are obstructing them. i still do that when i ride, but at least i always kept a lookout of the lights and move off asap.

 

this topic is never ending between bikers and drivers. many drivers dislike bikers to lane split and squeezing through traffic. but when bikers stay in the lane and not lane split, some drivers complain that we hog the road and make the traffic worst. some even complain that bikers shouldnt occupy the center of the lane as we pay much lesser road tax. either way, bikers are in the wrong in the eyes of many drivers.

the petrol kiosk near my blk doesnt have this problem so far. usually when the cashier knows that the vehicle is not ready for payment, she will attend to the next customer.

Today while riding, a spider suddenly appeared at my speedo. Its as big as the size of my palm. Almost fell. Bloody spider.

this reminds me of the time when my mom came running to my room call out to me "there's a BIG spider in the bathroom~!!!"

 

then i tot to myself "aiya, how big can the spider be?"

 

so i bua long long walk to the bathroom and look inside

 

KNNBCCB~!!! super BIG spider hanging on the wall . as big as both my palms open out wide. about 20-25cm in width. immediately went to get some insectide and chase the bugger out the bathroom window.

 

the down side of living near mount faber...... the critters would come visit once in a blue moon when u least expected.
