today whilst riding, got to work top-dry bottom-wet.

was just thinking of getting a full-faced helmet to "commemorate" my 1 year being with my bike , then something disgusting happen. i AHHHCHOOOO and a bunch of goo stuck onto my visor. yucks? hehe ... so now i'm not sure if i should get one FF for myself. i may accumulate all the bacteria heehe

secondly, i never thought much about lady riders. most of the lady riders that i came across are pretty nice and road courteous. until my encounter with this f-ed up rider.

first spotted her behind me in KPE towards TPE, quite close behind me so i gave her ample space for her to move up front if she wants to. (quite dumb actually coz the 1st lane is clear) she zoom-ed past me and stayed infront. it was sweltering hot in the KPE so i open throttle and went a little bit faster, obviously overtaking her. we both exitted bartley rd east. she was behind me at the traffic junction, heading towards tampines.

this is what f-ed me up. after moving off, i saw her in my left mirror, CLOSE behind me. (i was on the right most lane) so i moved further to the right to let her pass. then she "disappeared". the next thing i know i already WOBBLED coz she passed by me by my right. has she got NO BRAINS ? i was already so close to the kerb side and she still wanna pass me on the right?!! what if i edged more to the right when she was passing me? then her STUPID move would cost us both to fall.

soo sooo pissed by her actions. i know that i'm just riding a petty 150cc bike, as compared to her 400cc toy. but that doesn't mean she has to show off the prowess of her machine in that manner.

if i were to be a guy, i wont be impressed by her actions.

Yes strange happenings. Why do big bike riders like to try and attract attention going very close to me (200cc only) for no reason?

Tailgate the car in front of me very close some more. Like to "show off" by tailgating and making my position very dangerous cos the other guy obviously not convoy-trained and can't hold steady position in lane.

(can refer to my earlier posting with similar subject)

this morning, as usual traveling the down the road towards office. Another rainy morning, so I tend to slow down more... (within speed limit)

I need to make a left turn ahead, but its within bus lane area still I proceed early. Going down the road, just before the left filter lane, sliver cab pop out from my right. (*usual no signal)

I squeeze my brake, realise that I start to fish tail... what makes thing worst I for no reason clutch in... (*gan cheong liao)... don't even have time to horn the taxi...

my left toe slam against the barricade, blue black now... god bless I manage to control the vehicle at last. :(

:( bro, mind if i asked wat speed u travelling at? and wat tires u using? can pm me.

i hope u wore covered shoes (despite the rain) which will at least absorb some impact.

Thinking about taxi drivers cutting everyone path just to pick a customer makes me ponder that do we give the same treatment to drivers by simple lane splitting, here's an example:

PIE, rainy weather, stop-60km/h traffic flow.

driver on lane 2 paying attention to traffic in front, made a decision to switch to lane 1 to get out of the snail queue, tilt head to check blindspot since side mirror is rather blurry(while slowing moving forward) saw coast are clear with cars rather far behind, turned back head, signalled intention while still travelling forward, begun to etch out to lane 1 and at this very moment, VROOOM(with blasting horn) shoot past their very right side ear. driver jerked back to lane 2 with a thumping heart.

what say you comments?

yo.. this is my comment/reply.. PIE, rainy weather, stop-60km/h traffic flow. rider on motorcycle traveling on lane 2, following safe distance from vehicle in front.. headlights on, bright colour raincoat, when suddenly a car from the right swerve into the riders lane without signal.. caught by surprise the rider horn out but still he was push to the left side of the lane.. he was lucky that the driver didn't "push" him further to the left, if not, unwanted accident may happen and so he continue behind the heck care driver's car...

not to offend u.. but my earlier post is not discriminating whether being driver or rider (read my post again and understand...) but vocation of road users especially RECKLESS TAXI driver

back to my earlier post which somehow i curse the taxi driver.. what is your comment, when there is 3 lanes, the taxi traveling at right most lane DANGEROUSLY cut into left most lane endangering other MOTORIST (cars, vans, lorries, motorcycle, etc3..) when they saw potential passenger on the left.. if you are driving a taxi without passengers shouldn't you be on left lane (unless road workz or obstruction)

anyway i'm both rider n driver.. a lorry driver as well a car driver, a small biker n a big biker...

from ur statement, when driving yes i do experience passing bikes when wana lane change (regardless they horn me or not) especially expressways during peak hours.. n I ADMIT i am one of those riders who horn at the cars if they just lane change ABRUPTLY WITHOUT SIGNAL.. don't be ridiculous that ALL DRIVERS FOLLOW PROCEDURE as mention in your post when lane changing.. same thing, not ALL RIDERS VROOOM(with blasting horn) shoot past..

i am definitely sure most of road users who have bike n car license tend to be more understand and gracious on the road.. or perhaps..

in conclusion... vehicles that need "more attention"

4 wheels = taxi

2 wheels = despatch/delivery riders

am i right...?

anyway i apologise first... but please don't feel offended coz this is my sincere comment :cheers: as i'm using the font and colours and if you read in more relax way i'm sure my post is still acceptable...

There are still other road users that we have to look out other than dispatch riders and taxi drivers. Even though it is less than a mth since i start riding, i already encounter taxis suddenly cut into my lane or tailgating me. Well those taxi drivers are capable of unimaginable feats when they wanna earn money.

I was waiting for the red light to turn green in my favour and had put my gear into neutral when i felt my bike jerk. I was thinking how come my engine will die off then i realize its was still running.

I looked back and saw the driver of a blue comfort taxi dangerously close and he was waving and apologizing profusely at me. That A**hole had just slightly hit my rear tyre. Don't understand how he can misjudge that distance man.

my horn also very tame... like a sheep: Baehhhhh......

n i agree with ur signature... my pipe not loud, but lucky i got open port, when squeezing i use abit lower gear to "peh!!!" through the cars... quite useful... can see thru their side mirrors with the 'wad's tat sia?" look... at least they know my presence...

Can i add one more to the list of 4 wheelers? SOME (not all but mostly) Women drivers....

Just now while dreaming.....

While lane splitting, on Yishun Ring road towards BKE to Johor, I shifted a bit to the left, and checked my blind spot before going onto the broken white line. I saw a red van quite close, but enough to lane split. When suddenly.....

The red van Zoomed pass me, it's right front corner, knocking onto my left handlebar. The impact must have been quite hard, because after knocking onto me, the van lost control, skidded right, and skidded right across infront of me and onto the rightmost lane almost crashing into the barrier. But surpirsingly I was able to keep control and go straight. I stopped a few lampost ahead and looked back, thankfully no one was injuried. And my handlebar was still straight, only thing was that the corner of the handgrip where the van banged it had a slight dent on it.

Since on one was injuried and neither vehicle was damage, we waved to each other and went on our way.

Later on, I joined a convoy ride, and one of the rider's bike was down, so we put him in the middle of the convoy, linked arms, and pushed him. We were travelling like one huge vehicle. with multiple engines. Replay was there too. But the leader of the convy wasn't paying attention and when I sense something was wrong and ask him to slow down, he asked why? Then suddenly...... A white Mercedes cab infront cut into our lane and E-braked, BANG!!!! We crashed into the Mercedes cab! But when I went to the front of the convoy to check, to my surprise, I saw that the front man of the convoy was also a taxi driver uncle wearing those Ah Pek sunglasses, also driving a White Mercs Cab! And can still say bang already never mind. But the best part was what happened after that. The White Mercs cab we banged into pick up a passenger and "bo hiew" us! Then that MErcs Cab drove right into a coffeshop, park inside the coffeeshop to buy coffee!

i was travelling in an old uncle's yellow top cab....coming close to a junction where most of the cars heading straight already stopped cos of the red lights,

uncle on lane 4 was heading towards left filter lane,

the last car (at the red lights) on lane 3 already (very very obviously!) got more than half her car's length sticking out way way beyond the chevron markings,

very-clear-cannot-pass thru kinda situation.....

i wasn't looking cos typing an sms on hp....next thing i heard, "BAANG!!".

uncle rammed right into the car. (confident ok, no slowing down. without a doubt if he can pass thru!!!) i was shocked he went ahead! i was expecting he will stop!

big dent on backside of car kenna rammed.

driver looked into her rear mirror, totally confused.

took some time for her to come out. uncle winded down window said sorry.

china lady (auntie) said in hokkien, "uncle. simi tai chi leh??????????????????????"

uncle's 1st word, "we settle privately ok?"

china woman didn't even bother to reply, called police on her hp immed.

uncle turned to me, "sorry ah, cannot le...", cue for me to alight & get another cab.

what say you comments?

my comment is some farktards will dun give a damn and change lane even when the vehicle behind is ebraking and horning like mad. and the best part is u are not even lanesplitting.

most of these farktards drives luxury cars although occasionally you would find some japanese/korean cars doing dat.

Getting 8 hours of film for 'top gear singapore kopitiam edition' today, went pass 2 accident scenes in a row.

When we got to a highway a P plate driver in a blue pickup was speeding and racing me down the BKE whist tailgating.

Went past accident No. 1 - still speeding and tailgating

Went past accident No 2 (MUCH BIGGER ACCIDENT) - still speeding and tailgating. Everyone else, myself included respectfully toned down on the aggression factor. That lorry guy has no brain or something.

I purposely slow down to 80kph in lane 2 make him tu lan and the newbie GT Racing Pickup driver attempted to overtake from the left and got permanently stuck in all the slow tortoise cars filtering out from Dairy Farm Rd. LOL!

Try this for size:

I'm at a slow traffic junction lining up behind Optimus Prime semi trucks with full loads of containers. I took the slow lane cos not in a hurry and didn't want to hold up all the fast van and pickup drivers on the middle lane (West Coast Highway). I'm about 10 meters away from the nearest Optimus Prime, slowing down to stop behind it at a safe distance to wait for the red light.

Suddenly I looked in my mirrors and saw a black Toyota Vios headed right at me at way over 100kph with the sound of screeching tyres!
