today about 5:20am , was riding along pie towards changi. was riding 100-120 as the road clear. then after upper bukit timah there . there is a fking taxi speeding beside me . i was at lane one. as common he make me think im hogging at lane 1 .so i don increase my speed to 110-120 just nice i saw a speed cam but i forgot there is one . so i think i kanna this badly . sian road speed limit only 80.

While returning home after conducting fuel economy tuning mini-seminar @ Planet Motor I exchanged friendly waves with at least 4 cars and 2 pickup trucks. One of the Honda Waves riding slowly on the BKE waved at me after recognising me in his rear-view mirror.

 

Must have seen me before in my morning commutes or something. Felt like driving in another country altogether.

 

Came back home and thought.. is that JackOHJack's X1R in Lot 25?

Rmb to take it out.....there was once i 4get 2 remove my cashcard and it was left in the IU for the whole afternoon until i suddenly rmb it at night. Rush down there to take and luckily it was still there....haha

Not to mention that awesome incident you told me about @ Planet helping a novice driver change lanes and he stuck his HEAD out of thet window to say thanks lol!

 

Some drivers I notice are appreciative if you tag along behind and help them to signal and change lanes with them. Like a motorcycle police escort!

OMG....I left my cashcard in my IU for the whole of sunday since last sat evening..... When I ride to work this monday morning, my cashcard is still there! hahaha! LEFT THERE FOR MORE THAN 24HRs AND ITS STILL THERE! WOW!

about IU, wonder why there isn't such feature where u turn off the engine and if there's cash card inside it would beep non stop... which definitely helps minimising cash card lost/theft.

Today while Riding in the evening drizzle!!!

 

Was riding along Upper Thomson - Lornie Road.

 

When i reached the Marymount Lane/ Upper Thomson intersection, it was red light. Hence i proceeded to lane split slowly and carefully.

 

Saw a malay rider riding scrambler in front who stopped at the left half of the lane - Just nice, got 1 more half (the right half) for me to slot in.

 

When i reached the front, light turned green thus i continue to lanesplit while picking up speed slowly - drizzling. i.e. i was still along the white lines.

 

Ma La Eh Zai!!! the rider picked up speed and QIONG towards me with a 45 degree angle!!! i braked and he nearly crashed into me. Had i not braked, confirm plus guarantee crash side by side..

 

my guess is he holan-ed and wanted desperately to u-turn. but also cannot change lane (at a 45 degree angle, across 1.5 lanes) on green light ma, some more without checking blindspot.. even the car on lane 1 also shocked..

 

 

 

Just a bit earlier, was at amk hub - had to park at loading bay as per normal.

 

BUT! Ning Nong Piang! Wanna Comprain! STUPID management to charge $1.20 for motorcycle parking AND to deny entry because "The Gantry System Says FULL"

 

I parked my bike and approached the attendant.

 

me: "Uncle.. y do i need to queue behind the delivery trucks when there's DEFINITELY motorcycle parking lots inside? The FULL sign does not apply to us."

 

uncle: "Ya, but you see, the gantry says FULL, so CANNOT go in."

 

me: "Uncle, you cannot just let me go in first meh?"

 

uncle: "Cannot, because gantry system says FULL."

 

me: "!$*%$*!%, ok, can u at least feedback to the management that there should be a change in this insensitive treatment?"

Im very sure there are many electronic parking systems in sg that allows us riders to simply enter at will. den at exit, we pay by cashcard. So why is the system in amk hub different?

 

Im quite sure i heard our undergahmen calling for efficiency, which is definitely not what this management is about.. I think they shd just replace the local attendant with a FT, at least the FT dun unds english and thus there'll be "No Complain" - even if there is one, he cant unds it.

Every evening coming home from work I ride formation with some of the faster pickups/small lorries on lane 2. Can play with the workers in the back exchanging waves, poking fun at the sleeping workers etc. Fun!

 

This morning I tried out an alternative route - ERP 50 cents only instead of $2!

 

I took exceptional care in throttle and clutch control and rode with no more than 2500rpm in a bid to attain 55km/l

 

A taxi became a fan of my riding style and hooked up behind me going through Ang Mo Kio/Bishan area. Together we followed a huge lorry carrying like 5 tons of construction material; everyone avoided the lorry and it's lane was the fastest through the traffic jam!

parked my bike on a pavement along stretch of LAN gaming shops around dhoby ghaut..

 

Played Starcraft 2 single player mode cos i didnt wanna invest in a high end gaming PC considering the fact that i rarely play comp games.. (only for the sake of a good old comeback game)

 

Exited LAN shop after a few hours to find my cashcard MISSING! $30+ dollars donated to the thief who gracefully stole it without perimeter sensor and alarm triggering off! It must have been done carefully since i parked my bike beside a barricade.

 

Very lucky it wasnt my DBS livefresh credit card! Else that's it!

 

Another reason not to ever put credit cards in ERP units.
