Last night I kissed the road for the first time.. Was on a slow maybe 50kmh turn and there was some oil on the road. Looked like water at first but dunno why i still continued. Felt the rear go n tried to bring it back. can't remember what happened after but took awhile before I met the ground.

 

I've always made it a point to wear an amour jacket n jeans when riding far from home or at night, n yesterday I felt that they saved me. I remember sliding on my side n using my elbow to stop. Thou it's not fast speed, it tore a hole in my jeans n my knee had some blue black n scratches. But my upper portion didn't have a scratch, besides a bit of soreness.

 

Save $$ seeing the doc or hospital.. N use it to repair n at the same time upgrade the bike. ^.^

 

You need to share this story to those guys and gals who like to ride in shorts, bermudas and slippers. Hopefully they can learn this the easy way and not through the pain of their own experience.

Today while.. riding. nope. I took the company bus again. Today was the first time I saw him 'attack' a biker. It happened on AYE. The biker nicely filtered in, never cause him to brake or slow down.

Some guy wearing Red HJC CL-ST Throttle helmet (if I'm not wrong) on a bike with a P plate which if I didn't recall wrongly, exit at pioneer road side.

 

The bugger started tail gating him all the way. When traffic slowed down, he purposely try to go very close to the back of the bike. After that even when he was passing the bike, he swerve in just to be closer to the bike before proceeding. Feel sorry for that biker, could have gotten into something bad with that kind of driver around. Screw that bus driver.

A couple of days ago while riding, helped out a young chap on a Phantom TA200 who was lost in Yishun.

He was looking for Yishun st 21. But I don't know where it was!

 

Because stay in Yishun so long, only know how to go places I need to go, without knowing the street name!

(You know like you go your classmate's house, only know how to go, but when someone ask for the address, you don't know the unit number?)

So use my iphone to find, then the young chap said he was going to block 247, then I told him "Aiya! Why never say eariler! My old primary school near there lah! I bring you there!"

 

So lead him all the way there. Along the way, he ask for my name, and I told him it's "Silent Hunter!"

Drivers like to bully P-platers, had a driver do that to me once, too bad I smoked him, he would probably try to chase me, unfortunately cars cannot squeeze. The further away the better from scum like these.

Today TP n LTA alot on the road this morning.. TP arm with "DSLR" cam.. .. LTA with their eyes lurkin around... some of the motorist already kena.. So haf to "contribute" back their $$ since tomolo is our country birday..

had an encounter with road bully. from "oops, I didn't see you" or "oops, i didn't care that you were there." to "nb, how dare you horn at me. I'll scare you by threatening to run you over."

 

Exiting PIE, was on left lane following a lorry. Kept safe following distance, signaled. Lorry also exited, stayed behind lorry. Saw TIBS cab cutting in from right, gave way. Following distance reduced. Then saw my right mirror, another white Merc cab going to cut in from my right. Not enough space to give way already. He still want to cut in from my front right, going to squeeze me off to the side. Horn at him. He pause, I continue riding straight, end up in front of him. The road expanded from 1 lane to 3 lane, a few seconds later he accelerated and went to the left lane, then swerve right towards me. WTF! I kept going straight to a right turn and ignored him.

yesterday almost got kill while riding along corporation road. a prime-mover was behind me. i started to slow down while appoarching traffic light when the light turned amber. came to a complete stop when i heard loud horning from behind. immediately realise that bugger must have overlook the traffic light and thought i did some sort of sudden stop.

 

released the brake and pray for the best. in no time, felt a light knock on my bike. got down, put on the main stand, signal for the driver to come down and inspect my bike. thankfully there was no damage. butter his behind well, mount my bike and move off while giving thanks to my Maker.

 

thankfully he is not towing any container if not he might not be able to stop in time. with the weight of such vehical, i won't be typing here today.

As if bad drivers weren't enough, bad truckers are worse.

Yesterday accident on PIE Tengah Flyover, lane 1 and 5. Those truck carry sand one on the 1st lane, 1 of the rear wheel was on the slope almost gone into the valley in the center of the expressway. On lane 5, the lorry I think got hit by that big truck, left side passenger door got a huge dent in like a V shape and I don't know how it ended up on 1st lane. Can only imagine so much... Hope no one got injured...

Something I should have shared during HOV lesson is my disdain for Merc drivers 'cos they drive like they own the road and they hardly signal. I didn't say 'cos I feel it's too biased but looks like I should have voiced out my opinion about them.

 

Road bullies is something we overlook when we are on the roads and we didn't cover at HOV. Sadly they could be anywhere.

The brand of safety shoes that I am using is Cofra, from Italy. Got it from a friend who is bringing these safety boots in. By the way, the toe end cap is not steel but made from some composite material.

 

Actually they really look like hiking shoes.

today, while stopped at a junction next to a kupkia, with the rider and his chick. rider looked at my bike, and my numerous stickers (used to cover scratches cuz i dropped my bike lotsa times)

 

and the conversation between them:

 

rider: wah lan eh you see or not, P-plater wanna ride such a big bike

chick: is it? i thought is not small bike leh, it looks quite big mah..

rider: P-plate behind so big cannot see meh? aiyah, act only la

chick: oh, chey. but the bike really look big leh

rider: aiyah, look big only la, no use one

 

green light, and that kup chiong away..

 

i was surprised myself; by not being offended by their little conversation. kinda like: "i dunno what to say!" *and starts stomping my feet*

haha, that made my Friday afternoon!
