Today while riding (Actually yesterday lah hehe).. Saw a Harley skidded at e juction of Toa Payoh... Stopped to help n there's another driver who also stopped to help.. Hope e rider is ok coz saw e right fingers got blood flowing.. No gloves n used after market blade style brake n clutch levers... Stylo but hazardous to e safety of e rider...

Sad to say its the driver's mentality and bad habit. They like to tailgate bikes. Maybe they want to show you that their cars are faster than any bikes. Whatever bike you ride drivers will still tailgate you.

That is normal. Rarely do I see the driver bold enough to look at the rider after being horned or after jeopardizing the rider's safety. They will just look down or the opposite side. Is it so hard for them to wave as a gesture of sorry?

when i move to the left i can even see his car just beside my rear wheel when i ride back to the center of the small lane he still tail gate..most of the time if got enough time at traffic light in front i sure knock on the window and politely tell them off..be it taxi or luxury car

sometimes if you are being tailgated, you should start to slow down. no need to jam brake, just slow down and ride at a low speed.

Today while riding. I nearly got knock by a taxi which I don't know what is he doing.

I was at a traffic light waiting as it was red, on lane 1(the outer lane I mean). The taxi behind me was at lane 2(the road side) picking up passenger.

After picking up his passenger, He steer his taxi facing me and start to accelerate towards me and have a very hard braking that end up having his head lights beside my ankle.

 

I had no idea what is he doing. I just stare at him with a "what the..." look.

Is he trying to make a illegal U-turn while the lights are red(no divider on the road) but didn't saw me?

Or is he really intended to drive to my spot right where I'm standing cause he didn't know I'm in front of him?

 

I really don't know how to avoid this kinda of accident...

hmm you are correct also.

 

but sometimes you can't change lane to give way to them, what you only can do is to slow down gradually in order to leave a longer distance between you and the vehicles in front of you, so you will have more time to react if the traffic changes, as well as give the tailgater behind you more time and distance to react too.

Last week while riding, as soon as I left the carpark, my bike ran out of petrol!

So I quickly switched to my reserve, and made it to my office, (5km from home) but then on the way back I ran out of petrol again!

And had to push my bike all the way to the nearest petrol kiosk which is the SPC from the spot where I rescued annother Phantom rider last month when he ran out of petrol. Why nobody come to reescue me? Do too many good things no good returns one....

 

Then when I reached the petrol station, while pumping, I noticed yellow stains on the left side of my bike. Hmmmm..... maybe fuel lines leaking, so petrol kept running out, so I pumped 2.5 Litres and see if got leaking. No leaking.... Must be got people steal petrol! Left almost nothing, that's why go to reserve also can run out after 7km journey!

 

Yesterday while riding, retuned my DR800, because it was backfiring like mad. After some trial and error, error being after tuning to richest, cannot start and using up all my battery trying to figure out why.

Then tuning it leaner and leaner until only a little bit backfire only, but the bike abit weird, like no power, so tune back to rich, then the bike suddenly died!

Aiyo! Bike out of fuel, so turned to reserve, retune.

 

Then pumped 2.5 litres to go to Saint James power station for prize giving ceremony.

On the way back, bike dying again! Why like that? got at least 5 litres cannot last a 70 km journey?

On the last 1km home almost didn't make it. Bike died twice and had to restart it while coasting, but made it safe and sound. Phew!

Checked the fuel lines, seems ok, very little leak. Hmm.... got to tune it leaner.
