Encountered 3 idiots when me and my gf were going back home from town

Encountered a similar one quite recently as the first part. Only thing is there was a collision and I was able to maintain balance and stop safely.Driver then unwind window and still got the cheek to ask me how I ride. So I asked him back that changing lane now no need to signal? I think if you want to submit maybe got high chance they will do something seeing that he is a new driver and already harming others. You could give it a try.

 

Thats why i dont give way to merc drivers when im driving...

WTF was the forester trying to do?! obviously the lane he was in can go straight and turn right wat. for me, i will show him the "wtf u trying to do hand sign"

 

the junction at bukit panjang always got vehicles turning out from filter lane w/o checking or check but dun bother.

 

as for the bus stopping b4 the bus stop, very common. always see many vehicles stopping there either to pick up and drop off passengers or wait for ppl

 

for me, i hate red colour honda integra cuz there was a driver who did a illegal u-turn and almost sent me to meet the king of hades. i hate bmw drivers more than merc drivers

The first was was serious. Should report, but then again, some may considered tat it was simply a 1 off mistake from a usually careful driver. But i would think screw it whether it is 1 time or 10 time mistake from a careful and safe driver. U just need 1 time to kill pple. So ya, i would support report.

 

To add more details. E forester signalled, but high chance Didnt check blind spot. Yes it is a assumption. But if e driver did check blind spot then it would become attempted murder. So charge him for dangerous driving never check blind spot is letting him off lightly.

 

For 2nd case mazda, sadly is common. We just ve to be alert on this type.

 

For 3rd case the bus. I'm also quite pissed about this type but not sure if TP will do anything about these. Unable to catch them in action multiple times also since they r stationary. =X

the first one was serious man. somemore you were on his right side yet it happened. and although you gave him a long and loud horn he still continued to cut in. plus he wasn't apologetic

 

i think that you should send it in to TP. i hate this kind of driver the most.

Why were you on the bus lane? Even off hours, that's a bad place to be. The thick lane markings are slippery.

Agreed. Even riding on the lane beside the bus lane is also quite dangerous. Had experienced once on a 3 lane road the bus lane being the 3rd lane. I was travelling on the middle lane and a car was driving on the bus lane. Upon seeing a traffic enforcer holding a cam near the bus stop the car just quickly swerved into my lane pushing me out and forcing me to evade by going slightly into the 1st lane. Thankfully there were no vehicles on the 1st lane.

First day of 7th month got funeral downstairs, then that sat night saw multiple car accident along TPE. Then next day kena scolded badly by boss. Then today saw another accident along SLE filter to TPE, a truck badly smashed up. Wonder what is next...

If you're in the middle of the lane, you've to worry both about some car jamming brakes in front of you... and whether the car behind can brake in time should you jam your own brakes. And the power-combination of being a bike sandwich if the combo of the above happens. Delicious.

Ya agree tat wat u describe is an issue. hate this type of bad habits road user. Thus i hope to get rid of them if possible. Or at least make them think 3 times before doing it again.

No need to hate a particular brand or type of vehicle, there will always be stupid people regardless of such. And that, I believe, is something all of us can agree to hate, haahahah

What I would go with is slightly faster than everyone else, but of course not like I'm trying to race or what. Slower only when traffic is tight, maintaining the same speed with others is pretty much throwing away all your road presence. But of course, I have no actual road experience other than with my bicycle, so I may be proven wrong in time to come.

Watch out for Lexuses, BMWs, Mercs and Taxis, majority of them are driven by idiots, they think having more power at their command gives them the right to overtake and cut without looking because they assume everyone is slower than them, probably the same people think 1000cc on a bike is the same as 1000cc on a car.

 

Exception are taxis, they are just evil douchebags out to suck up your money, complain to you about how cabbies don't earn and kill everyone else.

 

Everyone else is sort of ok unless drunk, except anything driven by a PRC, bikes or buses or cars. They are only good at ping pong, maths and cloning, driving or cycling is not one of them.

I and my friends got stun by bee while riding!

 

Had the similar experience this morning. A bug was travelling left and right inside my visor. I think it was an ant. I opened my visor for a few seconds to let the air blow it, hoping it wont get into my face. Thankfully it got blown away.

@epslon. I also would like to ask e same qn as in e YT comments. I receive a ticket for speeding, how to explain to e judge this theory? Lol. Anyway no i didnt get any ticket. But e theory a little but cant use in sg when most vehicles r speeding above e limit. So do be even faster, we run e risk of revoked. ^^ just be very careful!!!

 

@Jehuty. U forgot about using phone, too engross in talking to frenz, too engross in touching gf/bf, too tired, just plain not focus, not paying attention. many reasons for e road user to use their "weapon" to cause death

encounter a few incidents tdy.. 2 negative and 1 positive..

 

was on the way to work travelling on lane 1. bus came out from bus stop and need to lane change all the way to lane 1. when bus on lane 2, he put his hand out and ask me to go 1st b4 he continue to lane change. gave a "thank u" hand sign to the bus driver.

 

on PIE towards changi, old uncle driving nissan sunny was on lane 3 and i was on lane 2. uncle decides to eat 1/3 into my lane w/o signal just because he wanna overtake a bike on his lane. press and hold my horn until he goes back to his lane

 

while otw home from work on PIE towards tuas, was abt to enter BKE, had to lanessplit due to road works in front causing the 2 lanes to jam. driver from lane 5 signal and immediately cut out from his lane, he continued to slowly inch to the next lane putting his hand out to ask ppl to give way. had to stop behind his car while lane splitting cuz he car was taking up the middle of both lanes.

I think that would be based on the situation, whether it would be better to slow down instead of trying to stay ahead of everyone. But be it faster or slower, main point should be that maintaining same speed too closely is a no go, you're pretty much blending into the surroundings of the other party.

yesterday while riding.

 

stopped at junction due to red light. from my perpendicular direction, light turned green and a gilera rider rode past my front and made a turn. right hand on throttle.... and left hand grasping an iphone plugged to earphones trailing into his helmet.

 

i already dun think its a good idea to listen to earphones while riding, but i can grudgingly admit in theory doing so is not any more dangerous than in a car windows up radio on.

 

but with the iphone in your left hand and controlling/steering your gilera with only your right hand, you clearly have intention to control the iphone while on the move. it is dangerous enough pulling such stunts when you're driving a car, but you're doing it while piloting a bike?!

 

2 questions for you, rider:

 

1) ride bike without using iphone will die meh?

 

2) ride bike and use iphone can die or not?
