This is a really close shave. I hope the lady driver will get it big time. Her car number is SFX97Z. Beware of her!

She can really get a lot of people killed. This is truly scary.

@SparkerS1, we are glad that you and your wife are safe and sound. However, please update us on whether she gets punished or not. This is important because if she is punished as a result of your submission of the evidence to the TP, it proves that this is a valid piece of evidence.

If she really gets her just deserts, Pplater and I will go buy cameras asap.

Somehow I believe that if I can live forever and ride forever, one of this idiots will get me killed if...

1. I am not 100% alert and reacted in time.

2. There was not enough time to react.

In the video, had the the driver stepped on the accelerator harder, SparkerS1 swerve also no use.

If there was oncoming traffic in the lane he swerve into, SparkerS1 swerve also no use.

If SparkerS1 flies, how he lands and what he lands on will determine whether he lives or dies. Or ends up in vegetative state.

If that idiot gets punished, I'm gonna get those cameras.

As riders we have long accepted that we might get killed. We rationalize that if we are careful, we would cut the risk of accidents, or we would survive them. We strive to stay accident free. Some of us kid ourselves we'll never be the unlucky one. But such close shaves are unavoidable. We've lost friends who, despite a lot of experience, went down. There are such drivers who exist to end our lives, through sheer neglect of safety. Its a numbers games. When your time is up, its up. Lets not kid ourselves.

Stay safe bikers. I salute u for daring to ride.

I don't dare to drive... Cos I'm scared I accidentally hit a biker down... Freaking car so big and bulky and slow... Front bumper can't see kerb, rear bumper can't see kerb, left cant see 100%, right also can't see 100%... So troublesome... Think of it already also headache Liao...

Had an accident on tuesday at Jurong Island highway on lane 1 at 70km/h. I think a hit a pot hole or a large stone... front wheel jumped up and lost control of my pcx... skidded and rolled for 100m and the bike +50 more m before it hit the concrete wall of a bridge...

was wearing jacket and thick pants so only escaped with road burns on both hands and some minor abrasions on my right leg...

ouch... there goes 1 good bike...

hope you recover soon.

These 2 days while riding, I very scared I will die, because I do too many good things already, Karma-odometer go 1 round reset back to '000000'.

When I went JB on Sat afternoon, someone "offered" to pay for my petrol when I was at the counter about to pay. As I was taking out my Esso card, the guy behind me hurriedly took out a $50 Ringgit note and said to the cashier $50 Ringgit pump 9. Even though I could have just walked away and get a free tank of petrol, but I don't feel good cheating people, so I told the cashier that my pump is pump 9 and paid. Then the guy turned back looked again, realised his mistake and said "Pump 10! Pump 10!" and ran back. Guy must be in a big hurry. And because the cashier was a pretty young malay girl, I joked with her "Next time he offer to pay, we just let him pay ok?"

Yesterday on Sat night, I go out to help a Phantom bro in need, his bike cannot start for a few days, so went over help to trouble shoot.

After some time, suspected it's fuse blow, because no horn, no neutral light. But because the screw to the chrome cover was struck, I cannot open to check the fuse to confirm. So just for fun, push start. Can start!!!! Confirm not fuse problem.

So must be battery problem. So we went for a ride to recharge the battery. After a ride from Yishun to Woodlands, still cannot start, so told him time to change battery. But before changing try to sand the cable connections and screw back first, in case it's the copper connectors corroded or loosen. Then teach him how to push start.

Today while riding towards JB, I saw a guy on the causeway pushing a Phantom alone. First thought that came to mind is "Want to help of not?" I hesitated, because firstly, not safe to stop. Secondly, I want to quickly pump finish, go back Ta Bao lunch for my wifey. But after riding for another 100m, heart cannot take it, stop at the old "White House" and off engine, walk back help him.

When I walked to him and asked him "What can I do for you?" He hear already blur, so ask him what's wrong with his bike, then he got it. Then because I was still wearing my helmet, he asked me where my bike was, and I pointed out my bike some distance away. The fellow The poor fellow said his bike spoil, he suspect his bike fuse blow, because a few days ago also fuse blown. So I asked him if there is neutral light when power on, he said "no light" then he looked at my bike from a far, and aid something very cute. He asked me "What's wrong with your bike?"

So I said something even cuter! "Nothing is wrong with my bike, I was just waiting for you."

I help him do 1 X push start. But it didn't work.

So I asked him if he got a spare fuse, he said "Don't have" He said never mind he will push all the way across the custom. But I told him that the rest of the way is uphill all the way. So I got my toolkit and said I check your fuse for you. And true enough, the fuse, a green 20 volt fuse was melted in the middle. But luckily for him, there was a spare fuse plugged in the empty slot. So I changed it for him and he fired up the bike and it was smiles all around.

He then said another very cute thing. "I will never forget you." :lol: Too bad he not a Chio Bu!

Actually the cam is for safety and riding moments with friends. Comes in handy in this kinda situation.

You can get a camera installed to try it out first?

I came acrossed comments on why I nv ebrake & stop.

If I ebrake and skidded, it will be my fault.

If I ebrake but the car still hit me, both rider & pillion will get injured.

If i ebrake and the car turns right smoothly, I would be hit by another car from behind.

Too many ways to avoid this kinda situation but which method is the most appropriate?

Its up to individual to access their conditions as not all situation is the same.

Actually this kinda situation we bikers always encounter, I everyday encounter till i sian already, everytime i ride, my mind was thinking alot of "what if" situations and how i can do to avoid it.

Report is one thing. Action taken by the authorities is another. Will receive letter statin they are investigating the case. Thats what I received after reporting an smrt taxi that almost sideswiped me a while ago. What action taken there on only God knows.

Just think of it this way, as long as u don't get hurt, do what u have to do to avoid an accident... Even if u get hit, at least u did try to avoid the accident... All these speed limits and these drivers... They don't go well together... The one and only time I was lazy to lane split, cos I was on my way to my house coffee shop from my grandma's house at 10:30 AM, I was hit by a car from behind opposite Phoenix LRT... And he claimed " he didn't see me"... So was I supposed to see him from behind me? And the road was congested at that time... He can't see the car which is 1m in front of me? What a lame excuse... Now I'm riding at my speed, my style, everyday... So far, closed a few comfort taxi side mirrors, cleared my carbon on a few tailgaters... No accidents... Seriously I think the TP and LTA need to review their legal and not legal codes... Lane splitting should be made legal... Or they should open a lane solely for bikers... Remove the road shoulder on expressways because it's useless and takes up space... Makes no difference if the shoulder is there or not because accident vehicles don't move their vehicles to the shoulder... U know why? Because the expressway is too congested to move anything from the first or second lane to the shoulder... Really don't understand the purpose of a shoulder... Lol

Report is one thing. Action taken by the authorities is another. Will receive letter statin they are investigating the case. Thats what I received after reporting an smrt taxi that almost sideswiped me a while ago. What action taken there on only God knows.

They won't do anything... I got hit by a driver on 30th of June 2012, up till now, they never send me how many demerit points the driver got or any summons against him at all... Wtf right?

Right. The last time I got hit from behind by a pick-up the driver still got the cheek to shout asking me why I stopped. The traffic (filter lane to main road) was not clear up ahead so its common sense to stop. Thankfully the impact was not so great it just grazed his bumper and I was unscathed.

Must remember full face helmet too... Otherwise you'll end up like me, front missing one tooth since 22 november 2008 until now the teeth cannot implant... Dislocated and fractured my jaw in 3 places too... Now everyday full face... Recently just bought a full face with rear view mirror thanks to the 30th June 2012 driver... Now I can see behind me too... In case more sh1tty drivers like him appear again... Haiz... Headache...

Dislocated and fractured my jaw in 3 places too... Now everyday full face... Recently just bought a full face with rear view mirror thanks to the 30th June 2012 driver... Now I can see behind me too... In case more sh1tty drivers like him appear again... Haiz... Headache...

Hmm... Don't worry la... I only stare at the rear view mirror when at red light or I stop behind a car... Sometimes can't ls thanks to heavy vehicles stopping just nice at the dotted line... That's what happened on the 30th June incident... I saw him coming, I immediately clutched in, kicked to gear 1, was releasing the clutch when I got hit... Damn unlucky... Zzz... And he didn't brake at all... By the time he braked, my bike was sandwiched between his car and the car in front... The impact was so great that my bike was still standing when I got off the bike... ðŸš™ðŸš²ðŸš— u know? No space left in between till it can stand on its own...
