I understand that the RXZ is a later model than the YBR and is technically better..

I'm a newb in this area and m wondering what'r the differentiating factors between the two bikes? Which is better for our money's worth?

Is there a 2nd hand private sellers mkt for YBR and RXZ? cos I havent encountered any..

RXZ is a later model? nope! RXZ is an old model with new version. the YBR is the new one.

RXZ is a 2-stroke bike, which means it needs to be feed on 2T. the sound itself has the typical high pitch sound, while the YBR is a 4-stroke bike.

if you say for money, i'll go for YBR. but if u want some thrill, modify the RXZ

I'd rather get a Leo Vince than a Louis Vuitton.

ohh.. thanks mate!

Anyone has any idea how much a 2nd hand YBR (abt2-3 yrs old, 25k mileage) would be worth?

There seems to be no private 2nd hand mkt here.. Anyone selling their YBR??

RXZ has been in production for almost 10 years oready? I would definitely get a RXZ over a YBR. The YBR has a 125cc (if i am not wrong), 4 stroke engine while the RXZ has a 135cc, 2 stroke engine. The RXZ is twice as powerful then the YBR.. quite frankly, a more powerful bike is better on SG' roads. Sometimes u just need the power to get out of sticky situations..

YBR has the better fuel consumption, but RXZ has good fuel consumption as well. Good fuel consumption, good power, alot of parts and easy to mod, no need to wonder why so many ppl ride RXZs.

You might want to check out CBR150. I've heard many good comments on it. It has gd FC of about 40km/L and it is 4 stroke.

Not to mention that it has a sportsbike outlook, just that it is not as fast as other 2B sportsbike like kips or sp.

i also last time stuck in these situations, dunno choose what bike.

then i buy RXZ, it makes a difference.

RXZ:

-gd FC

-Got power

-nice

-parts available easily

-easy maintenance

-got white smoke from burning 2T

-noisy cos 2 stroke

YBR:

-gd FC

-smooth and quieter ride

-easy maintenance

Both bikes are great, but u are the buyer so u choose whats the best for u.

no matter what comments others give, u still got the final call on what u wanna ride.

RXZ definitely got 2nd hand market. Cos it has been out for a few decades and still in production. YBR not so many around. I don't even see many YBRs around on the road. Unless you are telling me Ubi CDC. LOL

i wud say rxz would win the ybr in terms of looks.

but if u're trying to save some cash here, the ybr wud be a better choice since its a 4-stroker, no nid to feed 2T.

4-strokers are recognised for their low fuel consumption so this is where u got a point to save..

like wat SparkerS1 said, no matter what comments others give, u still got the final call on what u wanna ride.

cheers dude!

Riding a FG RXZ. Used YBR wen taking up 2B.

RxZ has speed adn looks,

But YBR can ave lots of $$$

No 2t, can go 40km/L

quite durable,

Only con is looks

But it can be done up well,

I have seen YBR with RXZ handle bar, well done

Looks sporty man

I'm riding FD Plate rxz! For me, in terms of SAVING COST & LESS MONEY SPEND, go for YBR because it's fuel efficient & it's 4 stroke.. very environmental friendly bike! & easy maintainance. If u are looking for POWER & PERFORMANCE, go for RXZ..

It's a 2 stroker. 135cc. Ybr is 125cc. Power is definitely RXZ's ability.:thumb:

Fuel wise, not as efficient lah. but still can afford fuel.. around 3-4days top-up full tank if use everyday urban riding.. All the best ! It's down to ur choice! :thumb: :thumb:

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine

theres a reason why so many companies are using yammie YBRs for dispatch.

from KFC, Canadian Pizza, MARS, OTIS... theres a lot. You need to open your eyes more, dear. YBRs are everywhere!

decent sized tank, and good fuel consumption. no need to buy a pricey rack to install your box either since it comes with a rack preinstalled. sport rims allow you to use tubeless tires. no 2t to pour in the bike. Its freaking comfortable to sit on. plus, its cheap. and since its a naked bike, with weight emphasis on the front end, a YBR with a loaded box is unlikely to do an unintentional wheelie then when you compare it with a scooter with a loaded box.

it has its bad points too. like its not very powerful. its speedo tends to report a higher than actual speed, but the RXZ has that nasty habit too.

granted that a 125cc 4t bike isnt as powerful. those who buy a ybr have more important factors to consider than power when buying the bike.

as a workhorse, its a good bike. but if you want to go fast, then by all means buy an rxz.

Everyone seems to say the RXZ looks nicer.. to me, the YBR looks nicer! The RXZ is just too skinny!

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?
