...said it gives off a blue spark. Is there such a thing? What kindda of cable should i change to?

Ahahaha... As far as I remember, you can't add colour to sparks.... a. Ok so if it does have blue sparks you should be worried, cos it probably means pieces of the element and I mean chunks, are jumping off the plug and burning up in the atmosphere, which is not what a spark plug does...

$15 for a spark plug cable? Sounds expensive, especially the 'blue sparks' part. If you need the cables why not just use normal ones, I mean, if you're riding a Phantom, above average quality wiring seems like overkill to me.

yup.. and you MUST switch back to ON when you filled your fuel into the tank.. else if you keep it to reserves.. then when you ride.. and when you feel that the fuel is finishing and that it.. you need to walk to the petrol station and buy fuel cos you have uses up the petrol in your reserve without relise it..

to save you from mistake... you should pump your petrol every 250km to 300km.. so that you won;t keep switching on reserve on reserve.... and you also won;t forget to switch back to ON when you are on reserve tank..

do keep a habit to pump every certain mileage b4 hitting reserve as phantom ta150 and ta200 dun have fuel indicator.. unless you are riding custom 4 but i dun thnk you are riding that.. else you won;t ask this question..

yup... you are filling both reserve and main tank when you pump petrol into the tank...

for your info.. total cap of the tank is 11.2L, main tank uses 8.52L, reserve : 2.68L.

no switching of reserve or on is needed when you are filling up the petrol to the main and reserve portion.

Phantom TA200 fuel tank is 11.2L if you let it down at the side stand. But if you sit on it and pump (which some petrol kiosk restricted them) you pump to 11.7L i tried it before as my tank totally empty once.

For the mileage wise you have to check it out yourself as different bike have different petrol usage. some can do 400km or more for tank but some can only go 350km.

Hope this help! :thumb:

I sit upright and pump also no use...when u put down to sidestand to go in and pay...the fuel all come out thru the overflow tube...wasted ur money. Unless like malaysia got pump attendant. But unless u stay freaking far from the checkpoint, chances are you don't even use the spare .5litres u pump, and when u reach home the unused excess also wasted.

If you use reserve first then switch to main tank... I was wondering... Anyone knows how the tank actually looks like inside?

I imagine there is a separator dividing the reserve and the main tank, and at a certain level the main tank overflows into the reserve tank. Is the separator high up or low? Meaning, does the tank need to be quite full then the fuel starts to flow into the reserve tank, or the reserve will start to fill at a low level.

Anyone made the mistake of using the reserve tank first? how far did you go before the reserve tank run out?

There is only one physical tank, no separators or anything.

Two outlet tubes run from the tank to the fuel switch. The "main" tank tube is located higher than the "reserve" tank tube.

The rest should be self explanatory.

you can try to search "beyong the screen" there a tour to scrap yard.. but according to those who went there.. there only manage to find parts for bike that is over 10 yrs..

phantom ta200 still have reached 10 yrs.. so hard to find spare part over there...

mostly parts avaliable is engine only.. if you looking for cover all this ... hum i should say hard to find...

LAB maybe a best choice to looking for part(accessories) that is cheap...

i use to install a windshield. it will coz a slight winddrag and decrease of speed, depending on the size of your shield.

hmm... when there is a strong wind u gotto have better control of your handle as u might sway to one side.

but windshield definately will deflex most of the debris from the road. :thumb:

IMO, windshields will definitely make your rides smoother and wont be that much of a hazard.

You will deflect not only road debris, but also rain drops that poke you like arrows and also the wind that your body resists. Weigh it out and decide :)

Try tuning the air-ratio mixture.

If it still keeps happening, its something under your tank you may have to change. I have no idea what it does but i know it's it.

u could juz tune ur carburretor on ur own, its e idle/slow jet...hmmm...perhaps u could send in 2 a motorshop ask them do for u, take less den a min, or u could use a side gapped spark plug, that will eliminate or minimize backfiring
