hi.. new phantom rider here.. rode for 1 week only..

 

got 1 qn.. maybe it is repeated but then i cant find the answer.. so i ask again.. hope u all dont mind..

 

my bike.. sometime will have this loud 'pop' sound from around the exhaust when i clutch in to gear down when i want to come to a stop..

 

some said is back fire? so wat exactly is back fire? got any problem? spark plug?

need repair?

 

anyway.. jus blur.. hope u guys can help..

carb tuning too rich dude. everybody sees whats behind me when mine backfires..blue flame..jeez..many like it but I don't..when I'm free will go for tuning too..running too rich yet I'm poor..

hi, yup! its called backfire. actually most phantom got these problem according to mech.

1)u juz need to ask ur mech to adjust the air ratio.

2)if it still dun work then maybe can try to lower your Octane Level of your petrol, wic is if u pump Vpower, lower to 98.

3) last of all think its time to change ur air suction unit.

 

Please try one at a time... not one shot do all.

to Eva03, if yours is constant backfiring or you can say its happening very often, mostly is 3) then 1) check out with your friendly neighbourhood mech

I don't know what your other questions mean. Can only reply you ketok is a sure thing, if not how they make a living? no choice..where you go still ketok lol..just have to find a place that ketok you lesser LOL.

 

3) around 60+/- don't change ? I told myself that bt in the end still change cuz its fugging irritating

 

electri horns like Fiamm are passable at Vicom, as for Stebel I don't know. Air horns totally duh! Steble you can get it less than 20 w/out installation at LAB(replay told me) fiamm 30 + installation at leng kee there..did mine but softer than Stebel

can't help you with the tool size cuz bad memory, they won't cost more than 11 bucks if you buy the whole small set..maybe you try using alan key/screwdriver(depends on what screw you use) for your chrome side cover and from there detach your battery connections

should be 8 or 10 size spanner if i'm not wrong.

ask ur family or frnds to warm up your bike every 2-3 day will be easier choice. i went on holiday for about 10 days before and still can start my bike at first crank..

the nut at the rear is size 8. the one at the two sides is size 12. make sure u don't get the normal spanner.. get those that the head is able to rotate. its mounted to the shaft.. that should solve your prob.

Wah i see my name a lot, been away for awhile.

 

First things first, Stebel Magnum horns are legalised... THANKS TO MADMAN! He was the one who initiated the whole thing years ago. That's right, our friend here's the big hero (paradoxicalz cannot swallow the fact).

 

Original air filter $10 at LAB, fix yourself. Frequency of change is roughly once in 6mths.

 

Didnt ride for 3 months due to broken ankle, battery was fine, but suggest to disconnect the terminals and cover the bike with a reliable canvas. Battery recharging can be done at motorshops or Petrol stations with Automotive repair workshops (though can take quite long).
