If i were to use heavy duty chain on the cbr 150 will there be any significant diff than using a normal o-ring or x-ring chain?

Anw anyone tried before without air filter of this bike? wad are the good and bad?

Also where to get Dunlop tyres Japan made one? which shop reliable? LAB?

 

suggest u try out the removing of air filter in bikeshop environment so that they can do the carburettor tuning for u on the spot. without the tuning done, i think the engine probably cant idle properly immediately after u take out the air filter, cause too much air is suddenly available.

 

w/o filter, dirt particles which are big may get clogged in carburettor and those small enough to get into the combustion chamber will probably accumulate within the engine if they cant be burnt properly and passed out together with the exhaust gases.

 

even mechanics warn against running 4stroke bike w/o air filter. somehow for 2stroke bikes, it is ok to run w/o the air filter.

 

alternative is to replace the stock filter (found in airbox) with aftermarket ones which offer higher flow OR to simply remove the airbox and replace with mushroom shaped/open pod filter.

 

for tyres, i go for LAB. their pricing for tyres is really one of the best around.

but as xxxratedxxx mentioned, their worksmanship in terms of fixing up the tyre may not exactly be the most gentle around.

Mate alot of time - a little light grease helps to prevent this problem, unless they are really made out of specs.....

get made in japan tyres for peace of mind.
