I don't think there is anything that can last forever thou. It will depend heavily on the owner. Whether he/she maintains the bike or not. Even if you buy a reliable Toyota and if you dont maintain it, it will still cause problems.

Hexagon has lasted more than 10 yrs. I think end of the day, it is whether you think it's worth to spend that amount of money to repair/replace the worn out parts or just scrap it and get a new one.

Take X9 as an example. It has lasted for a few yrs before X8 comes in. So far no major complains otherwise you won't see so many X9 on the road thou.

if you are thinking of a brand new bike, you are left with only x8.

the seat is a little on the high side for x8 but most of use is still able to handle it without much issue. it is a matter of getting use to it.

leg room wise, x9 is more comfy so you might want to have a try on both to get a feel of it.

Hi tstan,

You can go to Piaggio Service Center to test drive the X8 & X9, their address is 19 Genting Road, tel : 6547 4466. You can talk to Mr Yap to find more about both bikes as well.

Hi X8ers,

Just to check with you guys, does your bike vibrate when at slow speed? Let me explain more.....I was slowing down while approaching traffic light(becos red light) until bike almost stop but not complete stop, then traffice light change to green, I turn trottle again to speed up, then I feel my bike vibrate a lot, it feels as though bike not enough power and has dragging effect. Do you all feel this way or it is only my bike??? Please share...

Hi all,

Just got my new X8 and got some issues. I have been riding for the past 10 years, never have I come across a bike riding slightly slanted to the right and handlebars not aligned properly.

And how do I get the 'Rack Rotation' thing to work? I have tried to unsrew the thing but it just wont let me rotate the box up, seems like its jam or something.

My temperature indicater is above the 'normal' marking but not at red, is this normal?

Please share your experience :giddy:

For your case, maybe you like to go to PSC to let Mr Yap to have a look if you think it is not right. Remember, safety come first.

As for the box, after you unscrew, you need to push the knob in and plus lift the box up if i am right. Any X8 rider pls help here.

Hi tstan,

I am only 1.66 and I am riding X8, I admit I cannot touch both feet on the ground, which is dangerous, but becos I like the bike, so die die buy the bike.....by now I got used to it liao.....:cheeky:

BTW, X9 is no longer in production, so you may not get to choose the colour you like...you might want to go to the shop which Kenny bought his X9, as it is the cheapest shop in town. I bought my X8 there also...:cheeky: ....if you want I can pm you the name and address of the shop.

Hi Austin,

:cheer: congrats on your new bike.....so far for me, I can go almost 280 km before the petrol indicator on our dashboard lights up....FYI, for X8, the fuel guage is quite funny, the fuel guage seems to drop faster from the full tank to half tank mark, meaning when you reach 1/2 tank, you might only clock slightly 100+ km, but after hitting the 1/2 mark, the fuel guage seems to drop at a slower pace...you will understand what I mean when you almost hit the empty on the fuel guage. pls drive safely becos your tires are still new, there is a layer of protective wax on the tires, do not swerve too much, cos it might skid...enjoy your new X8!

Hi ikanatto,

:cheer: congrats on your new bike....

For the alignment, you better bring back to Piaggio to check.

As for the box, it is difficult to explain in words, there is a certain technique to tilt back the box....you can ask Mr Yap from Piaggio to show you when you go there to align your handle bar.

As for the temp, it is normal, it is very near the 1/2 way mark on the temp guage.
