i was trying to find the suggested meet-up place (car park near little india) but found out the entrance is other side of the rode.. so i have to go to newton circuit by meself..

 

among those goldwings, ST11, GSR K2, K5, fazer, africa twin, really shy to sit on phantom. grrr... waiting for lunloon and gohkm, ausa to arrive.

 

after 30$, we got one SBBF flag and drink cupon, white t-shirt (given once we arrive at wrench bar)

 

*forgot to mention that we meet uncle vincekam who came to see us at newton circuit... thanks for coming by.

 

the organizers were blur about traffic arrangements and convoy ridings when i asked them.

 

later guys from goldwing group brief and lead the convoy, lead-bike, markers and sweepers

those goldwing markers stop and block all traffic along the way to make room for convoy.. really respect their skill and management.

 

to my amazement, goldwings dash very fast and handle with ease to move front and back of convoy, they are equipped with walkie-talkie or communation devices.

 

the bad thing is have to go through 2 erps, one at orchard and dhoby gaut.

 

we started from newton circuit, turn to scotts road, go along orchard and bras basah, then stop and wait for another group, near city hall (just beside big field, i dont know the road name)

 

first convoy is 37 bikes, harleys, and other bikes (including 2 phantoms)

follow up by super 4 (and others) group about 30-40 bikes too

 

then, meet up with second group of harleys (ear rumbling when they ride past).

 

i was riding between harleys 2 sportsters and one street glide ( i think )

i can feel the exhaust blowing at my chest from sportster in front of me.

 

dont know what gear i am riding or when to change gear, since i can't hear my engine sound.

sportsters tend to blow but street glide out-loud them with normal riding speed.

 

i saw "black jack" shadow slasher and ride beside too... he asked me about white-wall paint that i diy, and thumbs up for me... *wink*

 

then i meet with kevin from militia riders (who blew exhaust from infront), he's really friendly guy and gives thumbs up for my skull mask.

gold wings block all traffic as they stop across the lanes to make room for convoy, so convoy just move off with no trouble.

even some small lane traffic, they block off the other lanes and we dashed the red-light.

 

i saw some triumph speed triples from Zero club.. they helped as markers too.

near golden mile tower, one toyota wish try to cut into convoy or didnt give way ( i am not sure ) that zero's speed triple cut in between car and convoy and blow exhaust at the car.. really scared him off..

 

then we proceed to wrench bar (again, goldwings hold all traffic at junction to let us pass)

some cars horn at us, some take photo (watch stomp tomorrow)

 

reaching there, we claim our tshirts, get JackDaniels, and buffet dinner (i didnt eat there, so ask lunloon for how's the taste).

 

friendly chat with all bikers there, met Wahoo and guy nick OFFICIAL, and saw another guy with SingaporeBikesForum tshirt (riding super4 with g-wings on top of rear-box)

 

we talked to some harley modders and enquire about this and that... check some girls there (too bad, pretty ones are all occupied)

 

then sign at signature board for Phantom Knights....

 

after food, when speech was about to start, everyone start to leave, i stayed back for about 10min and listen to organizer's "thank you.. thank you"

and one of dj from radio staition perform boring jokes.. then came back home to post here..

pre teaser already so happening...cant imagine e real event...now off topic abit hehehe...Ride Safe 2007 eh...since its an official sanction convoy from TP, juz wondering are there gonna be TP on VFR as outrider/marshall/traffic stoppers???hmmm if there is...think things are gonna get dam interesting...heard we could play wif circuit wif our bike...dunno true anot...hmmmm....

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

guys... any updates from reccee ride ?

I managed to catchup their convoy at the Suntec circle. But barely rode more than 1KM. Heh heh heh..

 

Then we settle down at Lau Par Sat and have food and drinks and Kev was giving some briefing but I wan not paying much attention to it as I was focus more on the ikan bakar and satay.

 

Then we set off to 2nd link already.

 

Anybody got more info?
