When the bike is on its mainstand, and you spin the front or rear wheel (with your hand), it should turn freely right?

My front wheel does not. When i try to sipn it, it stops in about 2-3 sec. I really don't know how to make it 'unstuck'.

Has anyone encountered such a problem before? I came up with these possible reasons:

1)The nut was thightened too thightly by the mechanic?

2)Wheel bearings worn out?

3)The brake pads are rubbing against the disc?

For 2 & 3, i jus changed the bearings abt 3-4mts ago, and the brake pads only abt 1 mth ago.

Hope to get some advice from anyone who has experienced this problem and please tell me how to solve it as well.

Many Thanks..

Thanks for replying.

I think the problem is the disc is slightly bent at one part. Not noticeable, unless you spin the wheel slowly and observe carefully where and when the wheel stops.

All the shops I asked say they cannot do anyting about it. So either replace the disc or live with it.

I chose to live with it as replacing costs about $65. And its not really a big problem.

Suspect the disc got bent when changing the wheel bearings some time ago. I remember the mechanic who changed the bearings handle the wheel quite roughly.
