thin, okay ah u'll feel slightly lighter, better pickup... but u can forget abt diving at corners. can... but u gotta have the balls to do it. heh. i'd recommend battlax or tt900. stick to same tyres for front and back.

Thanks. Any gd and reasonable bike shop to recommend? Also, I did see some brands coming up like Pirelli and Michelin. So out of these 4 brands, which are consider the better ones and what size is recommend for front and back in order not to compromise speed and FC? Also how to check the manufacture date of the tyres? Sorry for the long query.

I'm using Battlax tires on my X1-R and I need some advice.. I was riding home when I heard a noise coming from my front tire. I pulled over to check and i found a Jem sized piece of glass stuck in my tire. Pulling it out, it left quite a deep cut in my tire. What should i do? Is replacing a must? Is it still safe to ride?

very simple bro, go to petrol kiosk and pump up ur tyre... check the tyre pressure after a few pump... by norm glass cant puncture ur tyres... metal strips and needle etc stuffs if it aint long enough to hit thru the tyre ur tyre is safe.

Are the tubeless tyres thick? After riding the whole day, the tyre still feels good. I hope it stays that way.

Anyway, to side track a little. I'm a little new to this but I heard the rear wheels for cubs, there is a 100/80 size? I thought the widest or the recommended size for rear wheel is 90/80?

recommended is 90/80.. but also got 100/80 if u wana fix it.. its just dat ur bike gona feel abit slugish.. those size r heavy..

Shinko tires....

Anybody tried this korean brand tires on their cubs and what is their views on them???

I just replace my set of stock irc tires front and rear with a Shinko SR305(2.50-17)front and SR709(2.75-17)rear-->>total cost plus installation less than $100:thumb: :thumb:

SR305>>(ZOOM)http://www.shinkotire.co.kr/upload/t_product/SR305(4).jpghttp://www.shinkotire.co.kr/upload/t_product/SR305(3).jpg

SR709>>(ZOOM)http://www.shinkotire.co.kr/upload/t_product/SR709(1).jpghttp://www.shinkotire.co.kr/upload/t_product/SR709.jpg

The first thing i realise when using this shinko set up vs the irc stock is that the handling is more tight and stable especially the front braking area (the fork don't

dive as serious as before and when you let go your hands when on the move in straight line the handles no longer shake like hell anymore:thumb:

Anybody got use this brand of tires from korea??

BTW i got the tires from RACEWERKS:thumb: :thumb:

Good recommendation, thanks William:thumb: :thumb:

Just came back shopping for groceries.:cheeky:

The roads still wet and with my wife as pillion i could not really test the true grip of the rubbers.

But one thing for sure the shinkos are way much better than ircs, i can really feel the difference.:thumb:

But those who want to compare them to top notch rubbers like BT or TT don't expect too much a high performances as the saying goes....you can only get that amount of performance for that amount of money..:cheeky:

BTW when the front tires is upsizes, the level of the headlight is change as in shining LOL.... directly into the back of every cars i follow.

A quick adjustment with the oem spanner fixed that problem before i start to see a lot of finger pointing at me....LOL:thumb: :thumb:
