ducati n suzuki reign while yamaha n honda in vain...

 

stoner wins again at misano in rd 13 of motogp n scots away wif an 85pts lead against his nearest rival the great valentino rossi who suffers a mechanical problem in lap 5 n got to bow out of the race....

 

top 3 goes to the bridgestone tyre riders, stoner(duke) vermulen(gixxer) hopkins(gixxer) while melandri(honda) on a michelin tyre came in a hard fought 4th plc ahead of another bridgestone rider, loris capirossi(duke) who had to settle for 5th. guess the new tyre rule really plays an important part in this yr motogp.

 

with an 85pt lead i guess rossi wont hav any chance of overtaking stoner to earn his 8th championship which he had gunned since last season. i wonder rossi will stays wif the yams for another season aft experiencing yet another lacklustre season wif yamaha..... hmmmm... cant wait for him to join raikonnen n massa hehe or he can go the biaggi way n join a lower class championship in the sbk, even biaggi cant dominate the sbk... age has catch up guess!

 

but seriously, if wat the rumours are true, i cant wait to see james toseland to partner rossi next season... toseland is leading the pack in sbk wif a huge lead infront of another yamaha nemesis dat is Noriyuki Haga(damn, i really wanna get his replica helmet, sure looks nice wif my red r1..hehe)..

motogp became pop eversince rossi is in it. he makes the competition competetive. stoner yes he is good but nothing special. when he leads, he leads all the way. nothing fun in watching. even when stoner is leading, the cameras are not even 50% on him. LOL. but when rossi is in the game no matter 1st or last, at least 50% camera will be on him. as for SBK wise no comments. even colins in motogp does not excel. win or lose i will still enjoy watching rossi performance. motogp is about rossi. be it he is a champ or number 10. he is humble. cheers

Rossi's contract with Yammies is till 08, so yes, he will be around next yr. Next yr's Yammie lineup is Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo as team mates, but there is still speculations that he and Jorge Lorenzo could be different individual Yammie "factory" team, while James Toseland confirm in Yammie Tech3, with Colin Edwards likely as his team mate. The only team mate Rossi wants is Colin Edwards (maybe because CE is willing to help VR develop, find setup but not win races ), and he openly said he dun like Jorge Lorenzo as a team mate. Toseland in Tech 3 is mainly to nurture him as a GP rider from WSBK, with a factory machine, but without the stress to perform out straight.

 

Erm....Rossi is more likely to go WRC rather than F1. But to be top of the game in WRC and winning Sabastian Leobs, not an easy task. I would love to see VR race WSBK though, which I feel is more competitive. At least WSBK no tyres to complain about, all Pirelli.

 

But no matter what, after 08 season, it will definately be the world's interest to await his decisions on his future. As long as VR stays on 2 wheels racing, I'll be grateful.

Hmmm....maybe the younger riders feel a link/connection with VR because when they started riding, it's around the time VR started out on MotoGP. For older riders, I believe I could say that earlier days, there were lots of GP heros like Wayne Ridney, Eddie Lawson, Mich Doohan, Randy, etc etc, that a commonly asked question then was, who is better, Mich or Valentino? So much debates, lol. But for these old schools, maybe they dun see MotoGP become popular because of Valentino Rossi, but MotoGP given Valentino Rossi a chance to be popular. If the GP class did not stepped up to 4 stroke yrs ago, probably everyone would be jobless by now with attention shifting to WSBK.

 

Remember during the VR vs Sete days, when there is a VR runaway race, the camera would not show him that much too. That's why VR smart, knowing that riding alone infront may win races, but will not get advertisement contracts, so to play cat and mouse, more airtime will be given, thus more advertisements sponsor, and will get more $$$, to pay more tax. Oops, he forgot to pay tax But so far VR is the top earning GP racer in the whole history.

Just watched the race (ya, they show it hella slower than you Starhub guys), it's kindda boring....Randy DePuniet done it again, and felt bad for Danny P to be caught in the mess. Though Nicky did his "fav" dirt riding (he's motorcross last time), he lost so much time to catch up only on Kurtis and Makoto.....#69 ran out of luck totally!

 

Kudos to Melandri for strong showing after the nasty nasty highside. Alex was doing pretty well yet like Rossi, ended up with mechanical problems. Guitoli not bad for a rookie, even though he's gonna be Rookie of the Yr by default, lol.

 

Tyre wars, actually no really today because the best 3 Michelins riders are unlucky, namely Rossi, Nicky and Danny.

 

Think would Randy apologise to Danny? He sure just walk away when he took him out.

 

Oh, noticed John's left slider slightly detached towards the end of the race? It's lucky that it still stayed on....

i was at jb tat time keen and waited to watch motogp action,bledie satelite co telecast pool game instead,i wrote a complain letter to the co for not being telecast motogp at specified time slot..apparently this is not a first time happen occur..really pis off...

actually i tink wsbk is much more competitive nowaday compared to motogp, i still like those days when eddie lawson will fight wif freddie spencer neck to neck, with kevin swatchnz ,kenny roberst n mamola thrown into the pack, or in 250cc like sito pons vs dominic sarron n bro christian sarron. n its always abt which cigarrette company triumph the most. e.g rothmans honda, marlboro yamaha n lucky strike suzuki..... hahaha..... those were the days... bt now its only abt rossi rossi rossi.....

Lass, not as if this is the first time it happened....the 9 Ball is exclusive to StarSports, that's likely the main reason. Well, let's be fair, but Pool is sports, just that in this forum, most would prefer the showcast of MotoGP rather.

 

A good way to prevent such fustrating issues is to have them feature MotoGP on ESPN when there is live 9 Ball on StarSports. Or the best way, subscript to MotoGP.com and give the $$$ directly to Dorna to watch every single detail of MotoGP. A plus if you could even understand Italian and Spanish

 

Come on, where I am now, I get to see MotoGP on Sun, the 250 on Tue, and the 125 on the next Sun. If there's AMA and WSBK, 125GP are aired at weirdest timings. Oh, you ppl got HD, I dun....Mine looked like VCR replay leh Every where there's pros and cons.

The darn pool game not only ate into the 125 AND 250 telecast, it ate into the pre-race features, and the start of the race! Only started telecast like 5 laps into the race, just after all the action.
