Hi guys,

 

need some help here. a shop qouted me a total of $665 for a full overhaul of my phantom 200.

 

i remember, he qouted me, engine sprocket for $150.

re bore block for $25

concord around $100 plus.

 

Shop did give exactly what he change and price. Many items never change also, being reused.

 

so i need help, with that engine sprocket price, is it a fair price or the shop trying to chop me?

 

what is FULL overhaul price normally? i think shop qoute me $665 is no 'full' overhaul.

 

pls help. thx

My advise?

 

What is the problem that needs you to overhaul your engine.

If you are concerned about the integrity of the workshop, bring your bike to planet to have it checked. If can solve your problem without overhauling, Ah Chong will tell you. If need to overhaul, he will give you a fair quote.

true... ah chong will not do unnecessary changes to ur bike even if he doesn't earn anything... wen i have prob with my bike i always go to him, his our most honest n friendly mech of all time... but try to visit him during off peak hours

Best to go through the whole bike and replace screws, nuts and bolts that are rusty as well...I'm doing that for mine too.

 

Wonder st1100 can do this or not?

 

ST11 was made to do this kind of trip!
