the seasoning of the brake shoes will offset the angle difference.

The original caliper and disc are results of mass production, they are not calibrated individually anyway so its the same predicament.

But unless u can find someone u can do precise machining so that the offset of the caliper and the disc is prefect.

If not u will not achieve 100% of braking power.

Think about it.

I'd rather stick with my stock caliper and disc, but install SS lines and better pads !

SS lines??? :confused: Stainless Steel??? I only heard Steel braided and Kelvar braided....unless it's a BRAND you are talking about.....where could I get it???

cup kia aside, brembo makes accurate brackets for mounting brembo caliper for big bikes.

do u mean that they are not good/worth it?

i think u misunderstand it.

allow mi to rephase it.

example 1:

by changing to a betta grade of pads & hose, & using back yr stock caliper, bracket & disc, u will get betta braking result than stock.

wat's more is all yr bracket, disc location r stock, u'll have no worrie abt e failaure of them.

wat's more? it's oso a 1 time change for e hose, but e main idea is tat every time i need to change my pads, e price i going to pay is ard $18.00 for a higher grade.

example 2:

u change to a betta/higher grade of caliper & a bigger disc which is not suitable for yr bike, u gotta mod tis & tat to get thinge rite.

result = more $.

& of cos e braking is much betta, but e main concern is do they last?

wat's e result in e long run?

it's oso a time mod for e braket & disc, BUT e next time i gotta chaneg my pad, i gotta request according to wat make my brembo is suitable for.

for e above 2 examples, i think tat '1' is more cost saving.

i need 'good' braking result, but not 'excellent' effect.

i'm not trying to start a fight here.

let's not dicuss abt e aftermarket bracket or caliper tat r produce to fit for a bike, i believe they do fit in.

i'm not questioning abt e caliper itself, but e after mod result of a 'suppose to b for a 400cc' on a cup.

normal Steel will rust.

SS = Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel braided lines like those made by Hel's for example.

We are in the topic of cubs which do not have accurate mounting brackets from reputable caliper manufactuers.

Of course those class 2 bikes which have reputable manufactuers like Brembo,AP, tokico etc have presice CNC machined brackets.

Hello... If I want to change from original rubber hose to steel hose, what's the advantage? Any other parts must be changed when changing the hose? Please let me know. Thanks

I don't think HEL has brake hoses for cup-kias right ? Read some reviews about the brake hoses from LAB, which is from Thailand. Some riders commented that there's little or no difference at all..

So, what brake hose you people recommend ?? :smile:

Hel doesn't have off the shelf kits for cup kias.

But if u go to the local authorized importer Vector One, u can be sure u'll get a line that is custom fitted to ur bike at no additional costs.

U choose the colour and they measure the lines and cut and install for u.

Cuz only they have the machine to crimp the lines !!! No one else in SG !!!
