im quite happy with my fc lei... 245 still haven reserve... i go pump the count bout 19km/litre..

 

 

245 den reserve light on?? normally what rpm you change gear? i reckon you change at 4k most of the time den till only buka at 6th gear.

 

i did 248 when i only change gear at 4k only and only maybe once or twice at 6 - 7k rpm.

 

normally i change gear at 5.5 - 7k and my reserve comes on at 210+ - 220+ :cheeky:

hi guys. 08 what your FC like? mine is like 210 than reserve light on.

 

Sometimes, by travelling on the highways can get better FC.:)

Yah because of conistent fuel flow.

Can experience it when travellin at NSH and back to GP esso.

hmmm how come my so fast reserve? i go to 8rpm something. follow the ower's manual 1.

 

 

I tried change gear at 8k rpm sometimes and normally 5k rpm to 7k rpm i hit reserve at ard 250km..

 

What petrol u pump??

I have a set of used Racetec K2 to use for the running in stages. Don't fancy the factory fitted Dunlop Sportmax Qualifer so it has to go....

you guys fc is great man! mine reach 190 alreadi fuel light up......maybe due to the way we ride. my 07 cant stand anything under 6rpm veri sluggish. always drag when on expressway if not it be hot..daily usuage 8to10rpm. lol . how did u guys survive on low rpms with heat issue n power ? expect for 08 with ycci .. :p

mineral?? im not riding an 08, maybe you can ask the bros in here whom are still running in their bikes.

the original oil in our new bike is mineral? coz i follow the owner's manual change at 1000k.

 

what petrol u guys pump? i was using Vpower but i recently tried 1st caltex platinum realise got more mileages. or maybe the way i ride.

I was just wondering why you guys dont try the hard run-in? I heard it will cut down time spent for running-in and gain or a few bhp?

i had always wondered wat oil came wif my bike.. izit mineral ? well.. high chance and logically speakin it shld be.. y ? cos its cheap and surely yamaha wun screw up the break in process by puttin fully syn oil in the new bikes.. but hey.. u nvr noe.. :D

as for me i used to ride super4 so the riding style and changing of gear i used it for my r6...somemore running in...at rpm6 my meter show 108km/h so tats enuf for sg road...scared kena saman...and for 08 below 4 rpm bike abit sluggish after 4 u cant feel the diff and at 7 rpm the bike turn rough as if the bike is angry and ask u to open somemore..hahaha

wah..u really wait until 1000km ahh... as for me ichanged first 150 to mineral, 400 mineral n oil filter 900 semi-syn n now after using semi my bike hotter than b4... average day temp 90c. waiting another 200km to finish my runnin in and changed to fully,flush coolant,air filter,spark plug....

me riding 07. if 07 have ycci like 08 den i wont have change gear at high rpm n drag alread. for anything under 6rpm is sluggggggggishhhh. but 10rpm 16rpm is METAL SLUG . woo hoo. hahaha.

 

do a search thread on hard break in... u wont regret. :)
