I was just wondering why you guys dont try the hard run-in? I heard it will cut down time spent for running-in and gain or a few bhp?

 

better to do it on a dyno.. sg roads not suitable for hard run in thou.. =/

 

but manual states.. first 1000km dont rev above 8300rpm

after that is not above 10000rpm till 1600km.. hMmm 8000rpm is like already going to hit 140km.. still not fast enough>? :eek:

has anyone changed to bmc street/race filter? or K&N? wondering does it make any difference compare to stock?

the original oil in our new bike is mineral? coz i follow the owner's manual change at 1000k.

 

what petrol u guys pump? i was using Vpower but i recently tried 1st caltex platinum realise got more mileages. or maybe the way i ride.

 

It is mineral. Don't have to follow everything the manual says. God knows how long the EO has been inside the engine. For all you know, our current bikes are packed and ready to ship out since last November. That's almost 3 months of the EO in there...

quite happy with it as i felt smoother ride and response better abit..ya without pc..

but i not happy enough with the sound..not enuff foe me..

Just curious for 08 models do they have a large black box(ECU) under the rider seat just like the 07/08R1?

error 18 only appears when the valve for the exhaust lights up.. got that problem too.. but got that work out..

 

actually what i meant is after using after market exhaust, could the error be removed due to the missing exup.

i recommend every oil change to change oil filter too.

 

if you got error 18, best if under warranty go to HL and fix it and after that go remove the ex up valve.

 

Reason is due to mostly is the ex up valve but what if it is the sensor or cables,servo etc.. so if warranty best to go to HL to fix it.

I guess wat he trying to say is, altought the sound has alot of difference but still not loud enough to satisfied him :cheeky:

wah..u really wait until 1000km ahh... as for me ichanged first 150 to mineral, 400 mineral n oil filter 900 semi-syn n now after using semi my bike hotter than b4... average day temp 90c. waiting another 200km to finish my runnin in and changed to fully,flush coolant,air filter,spark plug....

 

bro so u change engine oil how many times sia? coolant i also wanna change, hmmm air- filter and spark plug izzit a must?

i also dunno wor, maybe up to individual ba..some might consider doing this for smoother ride n not loud to get spot by "uncle" easily, some might man change mid pipe, but from that day i see my pipe,the front header area still got cat which SK ppl say unable to remove,but i feel that might be the reason why mine isn't loud..so if change mid pipe also no use(

which i'm not sure of..) some got more money straight away can buy brand new full system ba..

as for fairing i don think can~ most likely due to shape! but Fer exhuast shouldn't be a problem~ :)

To remove the box of cos mafan, is with the header lehs. When you remove, the airflow and all im sure there is a change,so are you gona place a PC3?
