i've seen it on FZ1, haven on FZ6, hence was wondering oso whether it exist.

intend to fix panniers for touring purposes, else am fine without it on SG road.

no bro... fz6 dun have ori side panniers... for us, we could either go for h&b or givi... but i personally feels that h&b suits us better, which i'm using right now for everyday riding too!

i think biketech could be higher in price... try m-technik, they are the distributors for h&b if u wan h&b... or chiap lee...

XJ6 engine specs kinda weak as compared to FZ6. Its swingarm look ugly and cheap and it cost more than an FZ6. Otherwise, it could have been one sweet looking bike...

But the exhaust system is very cool... yah the torque and HP are much lower than FZ6, perhaps this the selling point too?

It's a nice looking bike. Just remember that this bike is really only skin deep.

Underneath it, it's all budget stuff.

The frame is a steel cradle type, similar to a Super 4, not the twin-spar aluminium type found on sportbikes or the FZ1 and FZ6.

The fork and shocks are very likely to be softly sprung and probably not adjustable beyond preload.

Power and torque will be rather weak for a 600.

Ultimately, this is bike is all show and no go. But I would say that it is a very pretty naked 600 for those who're just looking to tool around town in style.

Too wide. Not nice.

Reminds me of those drivers who mod their puny hatchbacks with GT-race styled wide body kits. Make their cars wider and have the "race" look, but on the road it looks poseurish.

maybe because its new so doesnt have the requirement or adjustments made unlike fazer. but i do agree with the pros above. haha. never even notice till you guys mention about it. lol

It's not abt being new or old.

This bike was created to fill a certain market segment, ie, the budget one. It is also considered a "beginner" bike. Remember, in SG, we have a tiered licensing system. In the US, they can ride any bike they want after taking the MSF. So a low-powered 600cc can be considered a beginner's model.

yup, seems like FZ6 will still take charge of the 600 naked series for a longer period of time.

no la bro... how to get rust? v hard la... unless your paint work had scrapped off and metal part can be seen... then rust will start to appears... : ) for me, when i bought my bra and get it fixed up by the mechanic, i'll take it down when i get home and do a full clean up on the tank + thick thick wax, b4 putting it back... i'll take it out for drying on a monthly basis, provided my bra doesn't tio heavy rain la... if tio heavy rain, i'll take it out to clean & dry on the weekend... tank will be washed & waxed again... : )

i got my bra at motoWorld... : )

for fazer 6, it's better looking to have side panniers than saddle bag... reason, side pannier can put more things & water proof... i can put a half face or a full face in a 40L side pannier! but not flip up full face ok? thou it's difficult to squeeze in traffic, training makes perfect... hahaha! for saddle bag, it's soft, smaller and can attract more thief... if kana cut by them, then u can cry it out loud liao... saddle bag is good for tourings only, but can't keep as much things as a 40L pannier wad right? hehehe...: )

heat wise... it's common for all big bikes... : )

i got a frn wanna get a fz6 too actually... but i not sure if he ordered from BP liao not... mine 13.5k includes COE, insurance, half yr road tax but no IU... interest for mine is 4%...

got time we can meet up for a kopi session la... then i introduce u some of my fazer 6 gangs... hahaha... ;D PM me if u're interested... ;D

Bro i also lookin at gettin a FZ6 but prob the '08 model. wat is BP if u dun mind me askin
