U bought your bike at which asp? dun tell me its changi rd one. cuz there is 1 brand new S1 there. Erm If i didnt rem wrongly the S1 there is with silver engine.

 

i din get it from changi rd one. but.......... my bike will be from changi road one... black colour wit fairing.. :cry:

 

I signed all papers le. he did tell me its a S1 model BUT on the paper that I signed, its stated that its 08 model. i am confused...... :dot:

if I'm you I'll be sian half way... is the bike in the shop now?

i wonder if its ok to go now to clarify instead of the day you collect the bike. But there's also a possibility that the seller don't know the model of the bike and bomb you that day... (juz my speculation)

 

but u OK with S1?

Hi, just got an FZ6S from the same place and had a similar situation. Inquired over the phone and was told a used 07 model was available. Went down and saw the clock was the digital tacho, baby G kind. So I knew it was not 07. Papers stated that it was manufactured in 06 and registered in 07, so I'll just assume that thats what they meant.

 

After getting it, I read that the colour and silver frame/engine is the 05 range, (06 is black frame and came in red or blue according to wiki) now I dunno what model mine is haha. Oh well... 05 and 06 not so much diff in any case and I'm happily enjoying the bike

well.... OF COS NOT SIAN LAH! Whahahahha! i am getting a new bike. its FAZER. so many old bird here oso using the same model and maybe same manufacturing batch and all love it. so definitely i believe it wont bring me any problems too! looking forward to the day of collecting it. maybe we can meet up and then u seniors may teach us things abt wat the bikes can do and how to maintain it! i bet Incognito will be glad to join me in lessons. ^_^

something to look forward to, from wat i noticed S1 have better milage...

in compared to my bike avg FC i lugi bout 100km...

OH! Thats great news to me. cos i am a phantom rider now. and i most wanted a good FC class 2 bike. :cheeky:

 

after getting my bike, think i need more advice from you guys on the maintenance and wat to look out for on the bike. ^_^ Cheers!

Hi all, I am interested in getting a new FZ6S2 09 and it seems from the posts here that I should get it from either ASP or BP? Any recommendation for the bike shop to buy from and what's the bike range that I should be looking at. I have a sparks 135 for trade in and it would certainly helps if the shop give high trade-in price. Would love to join you guys for your trips.

no la its nvr bad for engine but one in a while it's good to clear a bit of carbon so that you will feel that ur engine runs smoother... :D

listen to the mechanic who tells u when u push ur bike out from his shop as well as look at the owner's manual... in there, it will tell u the max rpm to go when running in and when to change engine oil... :)

most of u go at that speed plus minus a little. once in a while join in the day trips or petrol runs just to clear the carbon a lil:)

Check the manual, under engine break in... it will mention something like don't exceed this range of RPM during 0 ~ x KM.

can check yamaha uk for 2010 production lineup.

 

FYI fz6 was removed from production linup for yamaha USA 2010 models. its been replaced with fz6r over there

Took a ride in my frenz FZ6... wonderful experience lor... stable n fun. But just a very short distance only.
