A bike stealing attempt at Tampines. I recognised your face B******!!

An attempt to steal a bike, Super four VTEC 3 happened today, 2 January 2008 at approximately 6.20 am. It happened at Tampines St.21 Blk 258. I was going to my bike and saw this guy try to meddle the igniton key of my friend's bike, which is just beside my bike. The robber, upon seeing me, quickly turn to me and pretended to tell me that the owner left the key there, and also ask me weather its my bike or not. I said that it is not mine but belong to my neighbour. At first I did not suspect anything but when I try to take the key, it was not a Honda original key, and it was already stuck inside the ignition, which means the robber was actually forcing the key inside. By this time, he already left.

The robber was quite relaxed. I do not think that the robber is drunk, because I did not smell any alcohol when I talk to him. I think what he was trying to do was to unlock the handlebar, and load the bike into a lorry or van and bring somewhere. From what I know, those super 4's that has HISS ( Honda Ignition Security System ) cannot start the bike with fake keys. So my only guess was that he was trying to unlock the handlebar and load it up into a lorry or van, which maybe his accomplice is driving.

But.. I recognised his face. So any riders out there, anyone not just police also who can provide assistance to catch this culprit, do get back to me. If can, those who got "lobang" that can sketch a person's face would be advantageous. This is what I can do, hoping to catch this culprit.

Although it is not my bike, but I am still pissed off from these F****** who try to steal people's bike. I am also pissed off myself for my slow reaction. When I think back, I should have asked the F***** to wait there and check the key, then can call the Police. And if he tries to run away, I will do what ever to stop that F*****. I also should have look around the carpark for any lorry/van drivers loitering around there. Then can take down the license plate no.

Do help to spread this important message not only to the riders, but also to everyone around. Thanks.

bro.

you should provide some descriptions

race?

age?

height?

size?

got any special characteristic?

If we see anyone fitted the description getting near a bike at least we can observe him if he is trying anything funny.

Country: Should be a singaporean, cos if malaysian I wld recognised their slang

Height: Ard 174 metres

When I saw him, he has a silver chain on his neck, wore a blue cap, blue jeans and blue t-shirt. His body size I would say like a normal guy. Slightly dark malay skin colour.

bro lucky u didnt take action at him. if follow A.O.S standards in Civil Defence, there can be BAD & GOOD results. Good will be when u apprehanded him, he never retaliate. or the choice you made that let him escape yet you were unharmed but save someone's bike also a great A.O.S . The Bad will be....if u had taken action, this people who has a mind of disorder, tend to think nothing and thus will take any action to run away and never get caught. What if you stopped him and he took out a knife at ya. Its not worth to save someone's bike with your life bro. We can be heroes and we can be victims too.

Lucky ur safe. Thumbs up for ya.
