I wonder if it would be difficult to replace the handlebar grips... the grips that comes with my bike are no different to sections of pvc pipe...

u see the screw at the side? if can take out yourself, easy to change with an + screwdriver. I tried myself, too difficult because very tight. Also have to remove the throttle black part.. which is a simple job

Got my new grips... the era of "sports cruiser" begins...

All this nonsense began with an uncalculated purchase of a blue fullface helmet... and my phantom is black with black accessories. When an ahpek ride pass me he commented some hokkien profanities and then I realised that I probably looked like a ****...

argh so must do damage control! I can put boxes and crash bars on cruisers while the bike still looks ok... but it looks odd with me wearing lots of gear... only if I was riding a sportsbike...

and so I have decided, I shall take the best of both worlds...

started with blue/black handlegrips :)

end of story

the brand is pro grip, box says made in italy, the grips themselves got molded words saying made in italy, comes with a little manual/brochure with pro grip's website... But I'm still sceptical... the grips + labour to fix it on cost only $10? Thats seriously under my expectations... I still think that those are "chiong" ones... any comments on this? anyway I bought them from ah boy...

I'm planning to continue to zheng my bike. Ultimate question:

If I attach a piece of plastic on the chassis at the bottom of the bike where the engine/clutch/gearbox is, would the plastic melt? Or do I have to use something to isolate the heat such as... mounting tape to keep my addition parts from melting?

r u talking abt belly pan juz like the Super4 having? there isnt a need to isolate the heat as phantom engine is not tat hot.

still, phantom's wheelbase is kind of long... so lessening the ground clearance maybe isn't such a good idea after all... thanks anyway
