Can someone tell me how will I then be eligible for the installment plan for insurance?

 

Are those p-platers and 18 years of age unable to use the installment?

last week i call they said need pay 2 mths upfront.

i ask them.. me 19yr pplate...anyone can pay through installment with 0% interest.

 

but i read FAQ at their webby installment only applicable to those apply under registered bike.

how can one be registered if haven't get insurance..

 

i dunno need any documents for installment onot..

can someone clarify this...

tomorrow morning i'm coming down to one of their branch.

anyone can take up the ntuc insurance installments plan but their requirement is to pay them 2 months upfront . 0% interest plan. just give them yr bank acc number and they will deduct thru giro..

where are the locations for Allianz? i heard there's 1 in defu lane, but not too sure the add.

how do they calculate the NCD? ive been riding for 3yrs plus, so not too sure what my ncd is like.

lastly, wats the typical TPFT insurance price range for a s4, ridder 23yrs old?

Now i wanna buy another bike... and not selling bike A

 

Bike B i wanna insure with another company ( AXA or AIG )

Now wan to transfer 20% to use on bike B.

I would like to know if it is possible for me to purchase a motor insurance policy under my name for the bike. However, I am not the legal owner of the bike. I have a personal written binding agreement with the owner that I will take full responsibility of the bike. Hence I am authorised by the owner to use and ride the bike.

 

My question is, although my friend is legally the owner of the bike, but can I buy insurance under my name ONLY? That is, I want to buy insurance coverage for the bike and 3rd party under MY name. I do not want to include my friend's name in the insurance as my friend will NOT be riding or using the bike at all.

 

I would like to purchase an insurance coverage under my name, and to add another sub-rider under the same insurance as me, totally leaving out the owner of the bike.

 

Is this possible? Will there be any implications should a claim arise?

 

or must the bike be covered under insurance that has the owner's name in it, no matter what? that is, insurance with owner's name + my name as sub-rider (but this is something that i do not want.)

 

A fellow forumer told me this can't be done. But yet, here, i see posts saying that I can be stated as the main rider in an insurance policy...

u can buy any insurance for any bike..like what i did to my father bike.. his axa.. mine ntuc..

so far no TP/rov ask me for original bike register.. only ask license and insurance..

you can buy insurance for the bike.

you dont have to add any riders for the bike.

to ride his bike all you need is the insurance and the bike keys

and make sure you get the agreement that you are allowed to ride the bike.

Thanx for the reply. So for your case, it can be done. But what happen if there is an accident and you need to claim insurance? Will the insurance company go ahead as per normal? Or will there be problems? Will the insurance company refuse to pay up saying that i'm not the registered owner of the bike?

 

Hope someone working in the motor insurance can clarify this. =)

ok, i got the following email reply from NTUC:

 

[The correct scenario here is a non-driving owner and the insurance based on the profile of the sub-rider, that is you. NTUC Income's policy would not allow a policy being taken independently by someone who is not related to the owner.

 

If you have NCD for another motor cycle, that cannot be counted for this motor cycle. A father can transfer his NCD to his son or daughter. Other than that no transfer of NCD between motor cycles owned by two separate individuals is not allowed.]

 

so i guess... the answer is.... not covered although u paid for the insurance. ntuc will refuse to payup when u claim....

I was involved in an accident at Jalan Kayu on 19 Oct 0750H... A lady driver who exit from the Esso station hit me while I was travelling on the main road.

I was shocked and was taken to a nearby clinic by the driver. I reported it to the police and even tried getting witnesses ... which was unsuccessful... sighz.. My bike shop had asked me to engage a lawyer which I did..

 

The questions are... Is it a must to engage a lawyer for making Claim against the driver? What happens if I lose the case? I am afraid its my story against her now .. sighz.... If I lose.. I dun think I can afford to pay the lawyer ....

 

Still recovering from 8 day MC given for my back injury... sad man ....

1. am i claiming for injury?

2. Claiming medical bills?

 

and so on and so forth

 

Does that means that claim is successful?

 

As in the other party is at fault and the Insurance is goin to settle it?

 

Because the car didnt admit his wrongdoing and just gave me his number and drove off....

For 3rd party insurance, there is no excess. U have paid the premium which ur insuring company will have to do everything, including going to court for u.

Depends on your insurance document, if it is stated that there is an excess amount, then there is. If no, then no excess

AXA $259 ( without NCB ) estimate $200 if u use 20% NCB

AIG $327 ( without NCB )

Mitsui $261 ( with 20% still so expensive !. somemore i support them so many years liaoz )
