S4 riders will say S4 is the best. GSR riders will say GSR is the best. only after u ride then u know which is best. for a S4, its an average bike for street use. nevertheless, u oso can use for track. its how the owner decide... one can even use RXK for track use. as long as u like, can already.

 

another thing is parts can b easily obtained everywhere including MSCP. no money to change, get it from other ppl's bike then. so, got its good n bad. n i think its bad cos too many S4 ard as a sitting target.

i hafta agree wif some of the comments, there aint much competition fer 400cc. therefore the more logical choice fer some is s4 because it is established, its name haf made an imprint..parts are readily available, economical and pretty much fast.

 

If you wanna tok abt speed, ask urself how do u define a bike is powerful? is it coz it can clear it speedo? issit coz its front tyre can lift off da ground n be at the nxt traffic light in a blink of an eye?

 

Let me share with you smtg, u all noe da famous RVF Vtwin bike. Supreme on track n pick ups rite? I went touring wif dis feller, n guess wat, after overtaking him, it took quite sometime fer him to overtake me, dat is after i slowed down! Am i'm like wat, riding an old ver s...

 

its hard to say which bike is da most powerful or economical or simply the best. You haf to ask urself wat u want to do or wat are your expectations den you look fer da bike of ur dreams!

 

by da way, read in last yrs Fast Bike, the manufacturers are thinking of reviving the 400 sports bike if dare is a market. That means you will be seeing exact replica of the 600 but engine down size to 400cc!

by da way, my ver s clocked 380km/tank..still has reserve...i think..

top speed=unknown as da speedo ends at 190 n my needle cant go 360! hahaha

da further ur go, da crispy smooth da engine gets!

Everything has a balance... if u wan a 400cc then expected the bhp to be capped at 53bhp (fully stock) wanna get a 400cc powerhouse u can try RVF with top speed exceeding 230km/h, but drink gas like a buffalo. Want a bike with super pickup? by all means get a XR400 or DRZ-400SM but it will vibrate u to death on long journey... every single bike is engineered to be balanced, there are always pros n cons... no 1 bike is a perfect bike.

there aren't many version R around.. comparing the whole of the S4 family, version R, i would say, is the hardest to find..

 

 

Wow, im surprised that its hard on your side. We got loads of em here. I agree, I miss my Version R.

 

Although many here didnt like the front cowl & rectangular headlights, but for me, the uniqueness is what made me want it, PLUS many dont know that what makes the R unique is its High Comp Head... Unique to that model only.

 

I only wished that they made the R with Brembo Brakes & Wide Rear Cowl like the Vesion S.....

I think...

 

specs I vtec opens at 6750 for all gears.

specs II vtec opens at 6300 for all gears.

specs III vtec opens at 6300 for gear 1~5 and 6750 for gear 6.

 

I think thats why he says specs II better if you like to play vtec. By ard 100kmh vtec is open for specs II at gear 6. For specs I and III, still w/o vtec...
