Hey guys, I asked this qn b4, but nobody could answer this.

If let's say my battery is disconnected/ or dead (ignition ON, but neutral light not on cos no batt). Can I still psuh start my bike? I attempted push start b4 with battery OK n no prob.

But when my battery was d/c, I couldn't push start successfully.

During school day 20yrs ago, was told that battery that has been removed from a LC125 or RG125. Even by applying the running push-start and mounting method can start the bike. Is it true? M still wondering till now.......

I have done the running push-start and mounting on my V-Max (250kg) solo before of course with the aid of a slop, i need to push the bike up slop first then down. I wonder how i have done that simply incredible, i must be once a upon a time "Hercules", 13yrs ago. After the bike roared-up i perspired like as though i have f*ck 10 times in a mass orgy in a row. Hahaha...

should be able to start without batt lah, once my dad's phantom batt died, neutral light cant even on, i push start and the engine came to life. den quickly go mechanic coz scared engine stall at traffic light. haha.

just a question, is it possible to push start a cub eg honda wave?? those are without clutch...if can, how do i go about it??in first or second gear??

suggest u try the following while sitting on the bike:

1. kick to gear 1

2. step the gear pedal all the way frontwards and dont release

3. start yr journey down the carpark or any other slope

4. release the gear pedal

the bike should start.

did try it out before on wave125s.

yeap, its possible. or u can just roll down the slope while sitting on ur bike while on neutral. then when enough speed, just kick down to gear one.

dark mode, or light mode?

sounds to me that for wave,a slope is require for push start as we need to be on the bike to either change the gear or hold the gear lever frontward as mentioned by don. is there any more method for push start, on a level ground???

hmm wad i did b4 is i sat on the bike with my dad and bro pushing like mad from behind (cos im riding a big ass bike lol). engage 1st gear and clutch in before moving off. when gained enough momentum (u can hear the sound), just throw your clutch and whack the throttle and the bike will roar to life. hahahaha quite fun la. well, this method worked for me but gotta check with the others as wel...

i started my old bike pushing it on flat ground and up a slight slope many times before. NC29 with full tank is no light bike by all means. after releasing the clutch and revving to jump start the engine, please remember to clutch in and close throttle before the bike flies away from you. sounds stupid? happened to my good friend, bike smash into the mscp wall and broke the plastic rainwater drain pipe. the raging bull finally dropped dead on his friend's leg and gouged a deep wound in his ankle.

it depends on each individual and how skilled are you. for a wave, ive seen mechs in msia running by the side of the bike, then jumping and sitting on the bike and kicking down to gear 1 to start the bike. use any method which u think is easy for you.

dark mode, or light mode?

Hey Guys,

Wondering, any side effects push starting a bike like R6 2006? Like Electrical Charge Overload, Long Term Damage to Individual Pistons, Clutch Plate? Thanks!!

Posted

push the bike in neutral la easier, no need hold clutch

when fast then can kick into gear..

only mechanical difference between jump start n electric start

is u 'crank' the engine through the wheel, chain n gears

instead of through the starter motor (which also have a gear by the way)?

motogp bikes use a machine to get the rear wheel spinning to start the engine.

No starter gear in gp bikes i guess..
