Wow, thks to all of you guys for the support. I really hope to see more names appear and i'll do all in my power to get this thing started.

For a start, I'll suggest you guys go for this event in PG.

I may also tag this as one of the events under Johor Clubman series. However, I really need to see response before i can plan, ie min of 15 bikes per class.

As I'm a past racer myself, I know racing involves a lot of money. I'd like to make racing for those ppl who got passion, but have some financial budget, So I'd suggest doing something like a sports production class, which means everything is stock, except tyres, brakes, rearsets & suspension is open.

Safety gears like leathers, full-face helmets, gloves n racing boots is a must have.

SMSA License is needed too.

Hope to see more response on this.

Thks, guys.

I personally tink such things like racing shdnt be encouraged, even its on a friendly basis....things will turn out fine intially, after that aggressive riders in separate groups would wish to "gain" the title of no.1. or fastest...

think such suggestion, shd be changed as booked track days or even organising a riding sch at PG would be much beneficial.

reminder: we did have a fatal accident at pg this yr.

FYI, those who like to race, can join and participate in MSS

Sigh .... so bored ...

Participate in MSS is too costly and too many rules for everyone to follow if just for a fun race.

The fatal accident is a exceptional case where happen by individual irresponsibility where can happen at any time when people make silly act. Join MSS do not really help.

The fun race can have a pre-lesson day, practise day and final fun race day. This may ensure all plan turn out well. Just my 2 cents thought.......:cheeky:

Dear Guys:

Thks for all the responses & feedbacks.

The reason why i'd like to organise this event is on a few basis:

1. To provide riders who had been riding in PG circuit, but never raced before at all, so is to let them have some experience & exposture to racing in a circuit. Min criteria for this is that riders must have at least ridden in the pg circuit & knows the track layout. Pls take note that event such as this is not like our regular 5 lap challenge. This is a serious event however, not that challenging to newbies.

2. Although this is a so called 'SG Bike Forum' event, but I'll like to take this opportunity to teach our newer riders:

a. racing in a sanctioned race environment, with SMSA competition licenses, b. the process of registration

c. scrutineering

d. waiting

e. discipline in the pits/track

f. briefing given by the track officials

g. Safety issues on the grid / track such as flags, etc..

h. rules & regulations in a track

3. This is the experiences & exposture in which I'd like to give to the newer riders, so they'll know what to do in future if they wanna go to MSS or similar events. Of course, This event will have winners at the podium with throphies. Maybe you will only race this time or many times in the future, but this are memories i think money can't buy especially if you have photographs to show your future kids/gfs/wife/bf... etc.

4. I'd like to do something like a Sports Production Class, only needing a totally a stock bike except for handling & safety like what i've mentioned in my previous posts as I'd like to help all riders & participants who have budget constraints but have the passion for racing.

I hope to see what are you guys response and opinions.
