has anyone ever wondered why TP is opting for diversion 900 and vfr 800 instead of >1000cc bikes? there must be a reason behind their choice. even SCDF is using super4s for their fire-bikes.

so do u know what is the reason behind it? *friendly asking tone, no offence intended.

hi bros,

just curious......do u all think sg is suitable for big bike etc. >1000cc. preferably i disagree....hardly have the chance to use five gear on a normal 60km/h road. yet to travel at this speed on a five or six gear,my bike start to vibrate.....if trottle more a bit, ganna caught for speeding......:giddy:

hi bro, actually this is very subjective it all depends on where ur passion is at, wat can u afford and wat do u need. for me personally i will prefer 4 wheels than to a class 2 bike cause a OPC car monthly installment is only abt 300+ same or cheaper than some class 2 bikes. a OPC car road tax is only abt $50. insurance wise abt the same as a class 2 bike too. so i feel that its more worth it. as for maintenance wise we may tink that a car maintenance is higher but if for OPC cars u seldom drive ur maintenance will be lower i suppose. and although its a OPC car but whenever it rains and i need to use it, its there for me so really depends wat u wan and how u weight and look at it. nevertheless i will keep a bike cause whenever not driving can ride so i have the best out of both... :cheeky:

just my 2 cents and no offence to any bros out there with a diff thinking :thumb:

really c interest n needs i guess. Anyway no matter how, 4 wheels sure cost more than bike mainly cos of the ERP! haha then also jam jam jam but depend on where u usually go lah. but however the main problem with bike i guess is because of danger and weather which could weigh over the cost of the car. If u r not those need drive goods or wan comfortable then bike would be best.

as for class 2 bikes, if u got go touring then of course bigger cc better but if go track then 600cc or 750cc would be best. If u get big cc bike but then no touring, no track, just mainly transport around then abit waste lah but got interest can liao haha to consider which CC to get, it really depend on alot of factors! Money, interest, ur size, ur needs and alot more............. somemore it involve a big amount of money so really must ask urself issit a need, want or must? :)

I am having a car and I don't drive it unless necessary. Weekend, I hate using the car. Carpark is jam, almost everywhere. Expressway is heavy with traffic, almost everywhere. Maybe except during ungodly hours, traffic is clearER.

OPC, i can only laugh when I see people queue at carpark entrance, looking at the ERP meter at the carpark exit and along the expressway to and from city. The only time i am laugh at is when it rains. Even wify picks up my bad habit. :0

i believe that the method TP buy bike is like anyone of us buying a computer processor.

you can't buy the best in the market, cuz it will be too ridiculously expensive.

you can't buy the cheapest in the market, cuz it's performance will be mediocre.

you can't buy a midrange in the market, cuz you will not have the edge over the average.

in the end, they settle for the upper range series.

erm... anyone got what i'm saying?

ToiléTmaster | Seinfeld is still the best show ever!

Ya, like some buy the hottest, fastest hardware (bike) on the market, but the software is cheong, crappy and slow to react (themselves). Which sometimes leads to crashes.

Some software are good, but the hardware sux. Because you cant just keep upgrading.

Most software and hardware here is mid-range because you does not need the highest speed when you are only running Word or Youtube. (riding to and from work)

Well all, what i can contribute is every riders out there have different taste.

When you are talking about speeding in

SG there are many opportunity tat you can do so but don't get caught.

Getting a bigger cc bike does serve it purpose.

1) passion

2) glamor

3) Better power response compared to a lower ones.

And usually Tp do not deliberately stops a bigger cc bikers, as they knew that the biker is one experienced rider, unless he( the rider) committed an offense, that different issue.

Just like a Car you get it most of the time because you like how it look, design and etc. its the same.

Honestly i have been ridding for almost 11 years and it seemed that the Cars on the SG roads are getting more.... This one of the main cause of the increment of the ERP system, not the bikes.

Often during an accident also will cause traffic jams due to the drivers slowed down to look at the accident but it was taken place on the other side... Thats CTE (AMK ave 5) for you... ever experience it brothers/sisters? I am not blaming the drivers here but it does happen.

Well the concern here is about the biker who cannot do a full throttle with the of the bigger cc not the cars. Pardon me... Well bro, why upgrade then since you cant do the red line while on the SG roads.... get a smaller cc then, i suggest the Cub 75cc ones surely you can hit the highest gear and rpm..

Different bikes deflects ones' character and interest.

Doesn't mean that you have a bigger cc bike you have to whack all the way. NSHW got wat or PG.

Anyway it is good you brought up the issue well the bottom line is

ITS ALL ABOUT THE RIDER NOT THE BIKE....
