Obviously the idea of the underseat IU unit did not work.

 

That's strange. When I installed the IU under the pillion seat of my R1 then, I could pass the gantries without any issues. Without a pillion onboard, of course.

My problem is that though I'm no longer doing bodybuilding, I'm still eating like one. That is why now I'm overweight and flabby. Last time was overweight but muscular. durian contains protein. That's the reason I delude myself with when I'm eating it to my heart's content...

Actually you aren't suffering from high BP alone...

 

I 'm also in the same boat as you since a few years ago but I hope now my BP should be in a better condition since I've stopped smoking...

 

My family has a history of high blood pressure and I had that until I lost weight, from 80kg to 72kg, in 8 months! So it's about 1 kg/month, probably from my work and also I've stopped taking supplements for a long time. I eat normally unless I'm very hungry, then I'll eat a lot.

Tell u what. You can try riding with gauze over both your eyes. That way nothing will get into it.

I find it really worthless and a waste of money to have comprehensive insurance coverage. The excess is way too high.

 

When I first got my CBR100RR, I had it covered under comprehensive. The excess was $2500.

 

You lowside and destroy one side of the fairings... it will cost you about $3000to replace. You come out $2500, the insurance company $500 and that is after alot of time wasting trying to get them to come down and do an assessment and the paper work. All this while... your bike is stuck in the workshop waiting for them.

 

Collect payment for insurance from you is damn fast lah... come to pay out... freaking slow.

 

Also you should never value the bike at a higher than market value in the calculation of your premium. You will end up paying more but collecting lesser than the value you peg your premium to when the bike is lost.

 

Never add in your accessories value to the total cost of the bike. They are not interested... they just compensate you for a stock bike regardless of what accessories you have on. Unlike Singaporean (pui!!) insurance companies... American insurance companies will cover up to USD$500 worth of aftermarket parts fitted on the bike, it is specifically mentioned.

 

Best deal... go 2nd party or Fire and Theft coverage. Then ride carefully and hope in the event of a claim, you are not at fault.

 

Or ride a DRZ400SM like me... crash only change handguards or handlebar... cheap cheap.

Or not its a case of your words against his. The worst part of it all, speaking from my own experience, both of you might get charged by the TP for 'failing to maintain a proper look out'. Nobody wins, only the TP coffers get fatter.

For my accident whereby the van did an illegal U-turn and I buanged, breaking my collarbone in the process, the TP IO too wanted to fine me as well for speeding. I argued back until he got nothing to say cos the report and pictures clearly showed that there were no skid marks on the road. Had I been speeding, definitely I would have jam braked to avoid the van. Idiot IO used his backside to think...
