yes bro there is a cctv but only 4 show...a fren of mine boxes was break open n some valuable item was stolen...

the risk is always there by putting ur valuables in the box or just locking it under the seat.

guess the rest is based on luck solely.

last sun i saw some forced open box at my place oso, wdls area... frm wat i see they only break open those parking at ground floor, so try avoid parking at ground floor...

 

it is convenient for u to avoid walking the stairs, but it is more convenience for the thief to run away if need be..

I do agree with some people having nothing better to do. Perhaps, in my point of view, they are either in need of cash urgently or jobless, unemployed. Making police reports for me are of no point, seriously. Dunno wad the heck they are doing. Sit in office, shake legs, fill in report, money come.

And regarding parking bikes on besides the ground floor, it still depends on your luck lor. Cause what happened in Toa Payoh, the bikes on the second and third floor oso kana. Fourth floor no parking lots for bikes though.

I only realized that the newer or nicer the helmets are, the more prone it gets stolen.

Another thing is, my same friend even got his voltmeter on his super4 stolen at the same place. The culprit was caught but the voltmeter was never found.

I once caught some idiot prying open my box and trying to run off with my videocamera. Manage to catch him with my friend and recover my items but it was really damn stupid of me to let him go after that. Should have just called the cops. I've rarely left anything valuable in my box since. Have to see the area where I park first before I decide to leave anything in it. Once time nearly kena is enough. Doesn't matter if the item cheap or not, it's just frustrating to have something stolen.

i tink mine worst leh.. Few yrs bck working for pizza hut, company got this policy of MUST wear the stupid red cap when u deliver to customer's home so who wanna bring helmet all the way up rite with the heavy pizzas, pepsi, drumlet, etc.. so i just leave it on the vespa's side miror, went up got down helmet gone.. How to werk? My helmet smelly somemore... Dun understand.. But i tink in my case it was just prank lor.. The worst is wen i keep the helmet in the box... Haiz.. this 1 heart pain.. Helmet gone.. Pizza gone.. KFC chicken Gone.. Pepsi, drumlet Gone... CNNBCB!!!!!

In 2003, I got my Arai SZ helmet stolen in Marina Square. I locked the double D rings but the thief just cut off the straps...........sigh..........

 

From then onwards, i never leave any temptation..... See no Evil, Do no evil.

Sham, i dun think putting an alarm helps in case you dun wanna get ur helmet stolen except if you put them in the box and lock it? But if lock them under the seat, it might not be of help since the thieves who are desparados can just cut the strap away.

Hi all fellow riders,

 

Especially those guys riding sports bikes. A friend has encountered an unfortunate incident and has asked me to post this up in Singapore's most visited Motorcycle forum.

 

A set of Ohlins Steering Damper has been professionally removed from his Ducati 1098. The theft was discovered by the owner this afternoon, 1 August 2008, at approximately 1pm. The matter was reported to the Police and dusted fingerprints has been recorded. Investigations will proceed accordingly.

 

Please help to report if you encounter any cases of anyone trying to sell a set of Ohlins Steering damper for a Ducati 1098.

To keep your bikes safe, we got to get this thief out from the streets. People staying in the East or Tampines especially, please be vigilant!

My cash card was stolen in Plaza Singapura cause i forgot to take it out.

 

I suspect it's someone who's loiterring around that area cause he was there when i parked and left the bike.

 

I want to hunt him down.
