Just wanna ask how many ltr of e.o does our bike use

 

1.2L for the Pulsar 200

Thanks for your clarification, now i have a better idea and anyway.. a stupid question now. How much top spend can a 200cc pulsar reach? considering my own weight at 70+ kg :/

 

On a brand new stock Pulsar 200, I'd say probably 115-120km/h .

Not really a good bike to maintain top speed on: it vibrates and is not meant for speeds above 100-105km/h.

You can cruise at 100-105, but above I don't think you will enjoy it much.

You can get a higher top speed with a few tweaks, but we always tell new Pulsarians that this bike is not meant for that usage so it's not really an improvement, merely an enhancement, a small added benefit for which you will loose in other areas (torque, FC etc..).

 

If you want a faster top speed easier to maintain in the same class of bikes, you might want to look at the Duke 200.

Guys, I was thinking, been seeing lots of demands for blood donation from the SG red cross lately.

How about we organize a ride to donate blood ? Any donors in the house ?

I can't donate in SG because I lived in France and they don't allow.. used to work in a blood donation center when I was in college to pay my studies, and got used to donating regularly.

Really helps immensely hospitals to save lives and patch up people, especially road accident victims. I think it would be a nice gesture to do, and we could ally with the FZ16-ers and the Dukers on this..

What say you ? Even if not all of us can donate for whatever reason, we'd still show our support and raise a number of blood donors in our ranks, no ?

Hi,

How is your fuel level?

Check with a flashlight inside your pipe. Check your spark plugs and your air filter. (these are all things easy to reach with no need for complicated tools. If you need guidance let me know, I can post photos). Make sure the spark plugs and air filter are not wet, and still good to go.

 

Does the bike actually stall ? Or just no power?

When you say you can't twist your throttle more than 1/4, do you mean there is a resistance at the throttle itself or that if you open it too much, the bike jerks and looses power? If it doesnt come from the throttle or throttle cable than there is a good chance it's one of the above.

 

Another thing to check is the battery but if you have headlight and normal

Lighting on the bike you should be good on that front.

 

UM shouldn't be too crowded but you never know, sometimes people just seem to all end up there at the same time so just try to be there at least 45min before closing.

 

Fuel level and battery is good, there's no resistance on the throttle, but once i go over 1/4 the engine starts to cough and jerk around, getting worse as the throttle opens bigger. but it didn't stall or maybe i didn't try hard enough to make it stall. I felt this kind of engine vibration before, when i revved a stationary car high, the air intake could not keep up with the injection and the engine vibrates.

 

I guess its a wet intake problem/something blocking the air filter, this morning when I go to work everything is back to normal. The rain yesterday and the day before was really bad, haha. Anyway, regular service scheduled for next week, i'll have it checked.

Apart from the air filter check the diaphragm in the carb also.
