I've ride my bike before i pay the insurance.. of cuz.. I call up the agent and purchase it.. BUT.. my insurance starts from the day I paid.. as per the agent propose.. lolx..

i am thinking to change to 16f for more engine power and 42r for more pickup but like i mention, since all this three are almost the same. will there be REALLY any difference in 16/42

..

wah, such combination will seriously stress ur engine, u will feel a delay in power n longer time to change gear, no such thing as u wan gd pick up n top end, can only choose one, or stay stock size.

pilots.. need a bit help here.. been thinking about this problem for few weeks and been searching site everyday and asking alot of mech but no one seem to have a true answer..

our original sprocket size is 15/39 and the ratio is 2.6

if i change to 16/42 or 14/36 , the ratio is actually almost the same.. so my question is,

IS THERE ANY DIFFERENCE in the 3 combination since all the three come to the same ratio..

my rpm now can hit 12.4RPM so i am thinking to change to 16f for more engine power and 42r for more pickup but like i mention, since all this three are almost the same. will there be REALLY any difference in 16/42

thanks so much man, i love u uncle alvin..mohammud...hasson..

hahaha!

that also what i thinking now!

i thinking change to 14/37.

the ratio is the same but, the main thing is that.. your spocket can tahan ma? have to check with the bike shop for more details with regards to that.. cause if your spocket becomes too small.. that means more energy can be used.. but.. the spocket might become damage much faster...

Just my wild guess.. :)

Des,

help me ask ah chiong (14/37 ratio)lah

since u go there today.

thks!

as the trf of ownership/insurance

if unlucky just take bike from shop

accident on the spot

if dun have black/white or proof

later shop/insurance agent denied or 4got

haha, i only 260 only.. think alvin also same right?

anyway the three combination all come up to 2.6plus so it mean the drive all almost the same, but the thing i don understand is the difference...

front sprocket: DRIVE

rear sprocket: DRIVEN

like alvin want to change 14/36

and i want to change to 16/42

the more i think the more i stress.. haha

run out of gears meaning very fast need to upshift/downshift, in ur listed sizing, is super fast running out of gear.

torque a bit hard to explain, its like the pulling force is very big

anyway the three combination all come up to 2.6plus so it mean the drive all almost the same, but the thing i don understand is the difference...

in simple words, the duration to upshift/downshift, RPM for the gearing, hitting the speed u normally go, time to hit top end might be shorter or longer. Top end speed will either increase or decrease in respect to ur sprocket sizing.

Your fuel consumption will suffer if you lower the gearing.

There is no choice of ratios that gives the "best" performance at all speeds.

It simply does not exist, all ratios are compromises, and not necessarily better than the original ratios for most use.

been there done tat, money all wasted.:dozed:
