have been using LAB's Castrol semi-synthetic for long time, no issues, cost around the same as your jb one ( after conversion ) but maybe your jb is the "racing" type ?

 

there is very little difference between them except maybe at the top end. If you seldom "whack" full throttle, semi-syn will do. If you want better performance, then use more expensive one lah!

 

EDIT: just avoid the mineral one, very cheap but a lot of vibration & white smoke ! avoid it unless you very broke.

 

agree that at $22, you might else well go buy motul ( never tried before...very expensive brand leh )

 

i seldom go jb so i find it pointless to go all the way up just to pump unless i happen to go then i will pump & buy there lah.

 

however, if you go JB daily or weekly, then of course pump & buy 2t there lah!

UPDATE: just updating anyone that happen to have interest in the topic of tyres.

 

after switching to new set of BT39 ( 90/80 front, 110/70 rear ) recently, found out i can "afford" to increase tyre pressure to 230 ( 33 PSI ) front, 240 ( 35PSI ) rear & found all perfect. much more than my worn-out previous Pilot Sporty.

 

So apparently desmond & gutripper, you guys were right on your tyre pressure assuming you guys use BT39! Turns out that ideal tyre pressure also VARIES, depending on BRAND & CONDITION of tyres.

desmond- i just attended my court today. as the judge didnt say disqualification of my licecne and my dermits points she just say fine of $800. so is my licecne still vaild.

I just changed to tzm handlebar. It's nice to ride with it but with tzm handle bar my brake fluid holde/container is hitting my speedometer. Even after putting speedometer under the holder. Therefore I can't handle lock my bike!!! I can't turn full right,U-turn my Clutch lever also hitting my frame. Any idea hw to fix it ??? Will lowering fork be any help ??? Or is it shop never put my handle bar properly ??

Ya I moved it back but it still hit. I can't handle-lock. And I can't kind of take u-turn my clutch lever hit the frame. Where u did ur alinement of speedometer when using tzm handlebar. Might try asking then to help me.

lucky u.. that time my >60 speeding case i kena 2 mths suspended + 800.. considered very lucky alrdy too though.. ive heard ppl kena revoked @ that excess speed..
