wah guys i still so much to learn about kr lol... last time ride cub so much things de. anyway guys is it normal for my rpm to hit 1800 when i jus start engine without warm up? i feel it's a little too high. also when i start engine alot of white smoke, i just decarbonised my pipe so don think it's too much carbon so should be my 2T setting open too big? btw u guys are talking about radiator... i know its like a medium to transfer heat to coolant right. do i need service that? which part of my bike can i find and see my radiator? for coolant i just have to change it every year right?

everyone starts somewhere, doesnt matter how long or how much u learn as long as u learn its gd.

ur rpm shouldnt be 1800, it should be 1250 plus minus 100.

second morning start engine white smoke alot is normal, its because of condensation, morning pipe cold, so all the dew inside evaporating tts why alot, if warm up all nice nice or hot day still alot of smoke then is 2t setting. past few days so cold i see even alot of cars got smoke, its water vapour actually.

radiator cools the coolant. radiator transfers heat from the coolant into the cool air surrounding it.

hot coolant from block go radiator get cooled then got back to ur block thru ur water pump. it goes down the radiator and go up ur block. if very hot then the radiator cap there got one spring will open then ur coolant reservoir coolant will mix with the main circuit. sometimes coolant old will corrode the internals of the radiator then block because of dirt also, ' service radiator' is actually put acid inside radiator to make the corrosion and dirt go away.

if u notice ur coolant tank there the water level drop it means either got a leak somewhere maybe in the hoses or gasket spoil or water pump oil seal spoil

ur radiator is right behind ur front black, a big black box like thing.

good coolant can last 2 years, but average 1 yr.if got money then often loh

can say but u can go lower, mine with lights on is bwtween 1250 and 1000, i am not saying mines right but is lights off go above 1500 means u can lower.

but setting should be done on a warmmed up bike, not a just start one cause after u ride a while u might notice ur engine idling higher at junction

the relay thingy got water inside. den sot. just changed it.. everything is working well now =)

for the 2t , not as smooth as b4 and lesser white smoke. but when morning start bike. still like spraying the mosquito smoke.

morning sure will be like that one. cos you also dont open your valve from time to time. sure alot of carbon etc stuck inside. as long as its not dripping then its ok alr.

if you want it to be smoother, adjust the 2t intake. slightly more. maybe each time you can adjust 2 threads like that lo. rough estimation. till the ideal one you like.

2T not easy - too little = jam.. too much = wasted

RPM easy.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Drak3ter answer most of it.. But I'll give my version..

1) How long you never wash or change coolant already? Because KR temperature is very high de.. I used to tot my KR is the coolest.. because temp never move.. ONLY move when I'm at custom jam..

But now.. Temp min 1/4 Max I seen before is 3/5.. If you maintain your RPM at 4~5, temp will remain cool.. anything beyond that.. it will raise up abit.. that's perfectly normal.. *I tot change radiator/block will resolve this issue.. but no.. *I've gone thru the most expensive method.. So raise up abit.. is normal.. Unless you saying.. you are riding at 60km.h, temp remain at 2/5 and is continuing to raise up.. There's a problem.. Riding Style change everytime.. but bike is the same..

2) Highly possible Gear spoilt.. can change 1 gear if you wan.. But I ask you again.. Overhaul takes times + labour fees + EO + gasket.. how many times you wan to dismantle your gear box? LOL.. *up to individual.. I've change gear 4,5,6 because 5,6 is spoilt.. *to me.. change another gear in between just in case.. Because it will "slowly" spoilt the gear.. Just like virus.. whahaha...

3) Disc brake is thin.. Singapore do sell just the disc brake alone.. Just go to your trust bike shop and ask them to order just the disc brake and change for you.. Front disc brake estimated 1xx.. I've just thrown mine because *SLIGHT bend, less than 1%.. whahaha.. Got sound when moving..

4) Reason why drak3st3r ask you to cover it up because with more air = more pick up.. Lesser air give you more top end.. But the jets and tuning has to be re-adjust.. Only if you know how to feel your bike den you will be able to re-tune it.. It takes times as each bike has different requirement, different wear and tear and different types of riders ..

Actually, the temp is okay for me,but the gearbox 6th gear really noisy, dunno which day it will just stop on the expressway....lol

wholeset of gearbox cost how much ya..

thanks a lot bro...

ur answers are helpful.

no prob bro..

1 gear est $60~$70

there's 2 gears in every gear - 2x=$70 (higher, Just in case) = $140 /gear

KR got 6 gears = $140 x 6 gears = $840 excluding bearings , labour, EO, spark plug , piston ring, piston, clutch plates and etc etc etc.. haha..

*that's why even I myself.. change max 3 gears.. too pain in pocket liaoz..

Anyway, no matter how noisy.. can use one.. just that.. one day.. you kick up 6th gear.. It will become neutral(N) gear feeling..

Don't worry! that one day will be estimated 4~6 years later.. hahaha.. I think I've ride my bike for 3 years plus with that feeling.. so.. no problem.. *I dunno gear box spoilt.. whahaha..

ACtually i got a plan like this, my next overhaul is on dec, then i will ask the mech to change a 6th gear for me,so that the labour charge not that exp

My friends all told me, go Malaysia repair is cheaper because in malaysia still got a lot Krr.

@syonlegend i also agree msia is cheaper. my stuffs also do in msia one.

@Zakii not very sure. seems like from engine to me, just rode kr not very sure. its like a squeeking sound.
