hello rvf riders .. just couris .. wat is the diff between a rvf and a cbr 400:confused:

 

wah alot leh...... rvf pipe on the left, inverted fork, v4 engine, the design, the seat, THE PRICE.

One main difference is the powerplant.

 

CBR is inline-4.

 

RVF is a V4, which means 2 pistons on one side, 2 on the other, joined together at the shaft, making the shape of a "V"

 

Hence, all of our bros here know what the meaning of "V4" is, as it's plastered as a stock sticker on our bikes.

 

There are many more than just the powerplant that makes the RVF very different than that of a normal 400cc sportbike like the CBR, GSX-R400, ZXR...

anyway some advices needed. my bike got problem liao.

 

- my voltage drop from 13 to 11 ytd.

- when i was turning right at the junction, before i turn i used engine brake. sudden my RPM still stuck at 3-4 when i down gear and got a some kind of sounds like the engine gt stuck like that. when i stop my bike, it gave out a rubber burning smell.. but i still can start my bike as normal.

 

just that voltage still at 10-11 and got a burning smell.

 

any advice? rectifier problem?

about pick up, top speed all this, it depends on how u mod the bike and of cos the FC too. If stock bike and usually dun go fast and on expressway, Fc more or less 240 and above for full tank. anyway rvf is a race bike, sportbike, track bike, so fc of cos very shiong.

Ken, CBR is a sportbike as well, so it can be a qualifiable race/track bike too ;)

Hmm...sounds like you've got some serious faulty electrical equipment. First place to look is your rectifier.

By the way, if it is, you're running off of limited battery power and your bike may simply cease to startup one day until you get this rectified.
