hi guys, juz curious abt the top speed of a stock DRZ, any1 can enlighten me? thx.

 

Stock gearing. Stock BSR36 carb with #145 main jet....about 160 kmh.

 

Stock gearing with FCR39MX carb....172kmh.

 

All speeds based on my bike speedometer at PG back straight.

1) How often to do maintenence?

2) How much EO per servicing?

3) F/C?

4) Top speed?

5) Fuel tank capacity?

6) Where is best for servicing and all?

- depends how often u ride..

- i usually change eo arnd 2500km

- replace wear n tear parts (brake pads.. clucth plates.. etc..)

- replace oil filter evry alternate oil change

 

2) How much EO per servicing?

- 1700ml

 

3) F/C?

- stock carb - 24-28km/l

- fcr - 16-20km/l

 

4) Top speed?

- answered as abv post

 

5) Fuel tank capacity?

- 10 litres

- 7 litres (main)

- 3 litres (reserve)

 

6) Where is best for servicing and all?

- most scrambler shops are able to do it.. =)

yo guys ... am changing frm sports bike to scram .. got some quest... is the drz400 suitable for everyday riding ?? most prob getting it for transport.. and wads the diff between the models ? seen ppl talking bout drz400s / e blah blah blah... need help..

FZ plate with Arrow exhaust? was quoted $9K machine price.

 

juz found out diz wk.. my fren was da one who bought over diz bike.. 8.5k machine price.. damn worth it.. itz not delta or arrow.. but a gpr slip-on.. comes wif fcr2 also.. ktm headlite.. acerbis supermoto front fender.. sliders.. handguards.. pilot race tyres..

Sorry forgot to add that the exhaust is a full titanium Yosh and the 3X3 mod has been done on the airbox.

 

And the FCR39MX has the O-ring mod done.

Both my bikes were not stock when running in. Mebbe someone else here can provide the info.

 

And now using this setup to slow the bike down... the modifications don't seem to end. Its a crazy cycle. You get a DRZ and you will be in the Dark Side too. Heheh.

i think stock bike should able to go up to 150km/h.

Raptor, you are just having a ball of a time modding your drz man. Just remember to bring back those mods once your are done with america.

I just did a check and realised that there is already USD$6000 worth of aftermarket stuff on the bike.

 

When I come home in September.. the Singapore DRZ will have all the same parts.

 

Anyway, I am planning to go for a supermotard riding course to be conducted by Steve Drew (Yamaha #73) 5th in last year's AMA Supermoto Championship.

 

And I will go back to share with you guys what I have learnt. I promise that. Till then... you better find your supermotard fast. Heheh.

newbie here abt drz. guys i need help. wanting to get a second hand drz v much,but in the sale section,ppl are selling way to ex 12k abv.i've check wit bike pro,11800 iu 165 300 agreement 4%.loois 12500 nett 4.5%.

 

wat should i do?new 1 too ex,can afford but monthly abit heavy,second hand ppl selling more than new 1....
