greetings all!

just wondering..

since i picked up my Z 3 days ago, i have encountered problems getting into first gear.. this is usually after stopping.. the first time it happened i pushed myself to the side of the road, changed into 2nd.. revved a but and half clutch then down into first again.. today, it happened again and i just moved off in second gear.. usually i'll down shift to 1st gear as i am slowing down and then engage neutral after reaching 1st gear.. the manual actually says to engage neutral just before the bike stops.. i did that and had that same issue of not being able to engage first gear no matter how hard i kick.. any suggestions or advise would be well appreciated..

hello raptor! thanx for your suggestion.. as per what i believe is in the owner's manual, the free play is between 10 - 15mm which seems to be correct.. i suppose i'll just inform the bike shop at the first service.. no problems holding the clutch in at the traffic lights.. :thumb:

I heard that in order to make ur rear shock higher, u must make a bracket that it needs to weld.

i would advise not to weld anything to your suspensions.. as it will greatly affect the geometry of the bike and thus making it unstable..

maybe you needa check your preload and compression settings..

hey bro.. i haven't sent the bike in for a service yet.. will do so at the frost EO change.. i suspect the clutch cable isn't adjusted properly.. had something similar on my vara125 before.. the biting point is really close to the bar so i think thats the problem.. will update.. :) thank you..
