Nope it's not nobuwhatever... Anyway once I have the product in hand , will take pics n post n I as always try to get a fair deal.. No need buy 2 or 5 sets.. U buy 1 it's still is $320.. besides price, personified motosports will represent this range of rearsets meaning spares are well supported..

I be getting some spare footpegs as well.. All I can say now is, it's a product with a certain degree of standards.. They have a whole range for superbikes which I not started yet as I feel the 125/150 small sportsbike Market are totally ignored here. The kups aftermarket are in abundance. Most shops forgo the 125 sportsbike , not many n can make a profitable business.. Well that's what we get when most bike shop owners are not riders n only in for the money. Sometimes u be shock to know what kind of trading compaies holds distribution rights to bike brands.. I'm like "WTF"

Bro rearsets not bling.. They serve a purpose, one tats better than what the standard pegs can offer.. Besides it being adjustable to yr preference to suit yr riding position..N giving u a more comfortable n controlled ride.. Yr Knees will be brought higher which makes it easier to grip yr tank, using knees to grip tank is a must if going too hot n need to jam on the front brakes..

Flicking bike thru "S" corners will be more stable as u can use the outside

knee to push bike into the 2nd corner instead of having to lift yourself

from left to right .applying pressure to the bikes handling will only cause

yr bike to wobble .. There's more but I lazy to think :p

btw for me , when I get a bike, my priority would be tyres, suspension, brakes n controls...engine mods least importance as modern sportsbike with stock bhp is more than a handful fir us to handle.. I estimate almost all of us only use less than 70% of available power..

For our RS, yes we def need to change at least the pipes to free the hidden power within ..2 strokers are left without a choice.. It's for passing thru the Euro emission test hence the restriction.

I also read an earlier post about new stock bikes running rich, yes it is running rich. It's a safety measure from all bike manufacturers, running rich will never get the engine to seize..almost all new showroom bikes need to rejet or tuned but once u do that if any engine failure, the warranty doesn't cover at all...

Anyone wants to sell me their 2004, 2005 Aprilia? So hard to find one....

Hasnt been any on the bike mart recently right? I can understand why! I'm riding an '03. I was thinking of upgrading to class 2A, but after trying a few bikes, i still feel so happy riding on my own RS. Its fully stock though. (studying so quite budget :p) But still, the feel of it...

I've pm-ed you the workshop i service at, saw a few RS 125s there earlier this month. Y2K model. If you're still interested.

Most motorcycle problems are a result of the nut that connects the handlebar to the saddle

Bro rearsets not bling.. They serve a purpose, one tats better than what the standard pegs can offer..

i agree its more than bling, but that applies more to the track function of it. for normal/daily road use, the standard sets do the job more than well enough. And as compared to other mods, its the one which will bring the least improvement to the bike as compared to engine/suspension/brake mods. So yea, i guess thats why i classify it as bling. U can do without it, but having one would be nice. Bt its definitely on my list, after ive done my main internal mods(carb, air intake, reeds) and getting decent shocks.

I estimate almost all of us only use less than 70% of available power..

i beg to differ to this. specifically with reference to our 2 strokes. i ride in the powerband range most of the time. And most would agree that totally stock, the bike is crap(in relative terms) and nowhere near its potential(power wise) so mods like upgrading to a bigger carb and changing the pipe is a must, i feel.

anw looking forward to seeing pics of ur rearsets. would be nice if u could make them available in different colour combinations. And at the price point of 300-ish im sure it will sell like hotcakes =D

Both you guys seem to have valid points.

Larry, i agree adjustable rearsets are very useful for track, but the stock ones served me well enough. I've been quite low before, but never once scrapped my footpegs. :) Unless someone is really track oriented, they wouldnt need aftermarket rearsets, except for the bling factor.

Gilles IMO is overpriced. Yours seem quite reasonable though. I believe Mesaboogie is talking about this rearsets.

Does the rearsets you getting look like these? I'm a sucker for GOLD. haha. This brand you can mix and match any color available.

Oh ya bros.. I tend to get carried away from road to track anyway the racesets I can actually have them in 3 colours... Gold silver n black ...gold looks sweet when on the display but I found out that it's quite tough to sell n was advised by other shops to order thru indent basis.. Sivler is plain but it blends with our frame nicely, only thing I feel is it's almost un noticable so that leaves with black . Anyway all sets have been reserved within a day.. I probably be ordering couple more..need it for display n another for me ! It will still be in black unless there's request for gold or silver...

Keep the pm coming n thanks for the support

btw the yamaha r125 rear sets hVe also been snapped up .. I wonder which group will order more :)

Hey guys

Bike is now back with a full set of R&G sliders and an Arrow full system exhaust with titanium endcan. Pics below!

R&G Sliders

I love the way they look. They have a real quality look and feel. Aerodynamic-shaped frame sliders are especially nice.

The cost of the slider set came up to $366. I forget the breakdown, but personied can help here if you need it. Total includes barend, fork, frame and swingarm sliders plus paddock bobbins. Installation at Sporting Motors was $20. So budget $386 for the whole thing including installation.

Arrow Exhaust

Geez this thing is loud. Significantly louder than stock IMO. As mesa pointed out before, it has a tinny-raspy-metallic sound, esp at lower revs (3-6k). The tinny sound seems to be eaten up by just loud noise after 6k rpm. To be honest, I felt kinda bad riding around with a lot more noise pouring out behind me. I'm not a believer of 'loud pipe saves lives' (certainly didn't stop an idiot cab driver from nearly ramming me from the side on the way back - seriously, why are there still crazy old cabs being driven by crazy old people out there? They are a serious danger to the public). Guess I will just have to get used to it.

Performance wise there are definitely good gains. To my surprise, the bike seems a lot more eager to get off the line - in the past it would struggle if I started off at any revs under 4k; now it gladly moves off at 3k. Unexpected bottom-end gain! Top-end is more significant. Acceleration after 8k feels as though the bike has lost a lot of weight. It pulls better for sure. I like it. I just don't like the amount of noise I have to generate to feel that pull! This won't matter on a track though.

Cost: $680 for the exhaust from BikeTech21. $20 installation at Sporting Motors (compare with 37 Motoring, who quoted $50!). Total: $700

Inspection passed at Vicom Kaki Bukit (one minute ride from Autobay @ Kaki Bukit, where Sporting Motors are based). Cost was $78.11 and took about 45 minutes. When you enter, keep right and look out for Lane 5 which is designated for motorcycles. When you get to the inspection areas in Lane 5 (there are two), keep left. Tell the inspector you are there only for exhaust inspection. He'll check your papers (the ones BikeTech21 gave you) and your IC. He'll start the bike, and insert a measuring thingy into the pipe to test emissions. If it's ok, he'll take what looks like 250 photos of your exhaust. Then he'll disappear for 30 minutes or so (I presume to upload the photos and fill out documentation) while you pay the inspection cost. At the end, you get a simple letter saying the exhaust has passed inspection, together with details of the bike and owner. All stapled with the papers BikeTech21 gave. Pretty straightforward stuff, but definitely budget at least 45 minutes for this. I was there at 9.40am today (Saturday) and was the first person for exhaust inspection, so I imagine it can take longer if you're sitting in a queue.

Sporting Motors

I am very happy with these guys. My thanks to personified for suggesting this place. Their shop looks professional, with a neat workshop area, nice office area, lots of Aprilia RSV4s parked outside for you to drool at and great customer service (I dealt with Stanley). I have to say I feel a lot more comfortable dealing with these guys compared to 37 Motoring.

Enough mods to the bike now I think. Next purchase will be a one-piece suit for tracking mid this year. Would love the Dainese Laguna Seca Pro in black.

A better pic of the Arrow!

Looks so pretty!

When the winds resist my impetus and sights become passing shadows. Every other sound is voided, all but the undeniable roar of my engine.

My physical vision recepts naught, but my mind is tranquil.

I see my inner soul.

Thks for the elaborate details! Ya one reason y I'm hesitating to change my exhaust to arrow is Becoz of the noise. Damn loud. So I'm considering ginelli now. HKL offered me at 600 bucks.

Excellent write up as usual. I'm shocked to hear Sporting only charged $20 to install the exhaust. Most shops charge $30-50! Thanks for the heads up. I'm eager to know if Sporting is good at servicing and tuning. I'm waiting for you to test it for us dude!

Been to sporting once, I would say the mechanic know his stuff well. I was there to look for Larry only, but the whole while I observed that the mechanic was really careful with the bikes, and somewhat thorough as well. Would try their service next time.

sporting is great. the older mechanic is superbly friendly and bothers to actually answer a torrent of questions. He was thorough with his servicing however, i would say his techniques are rather weird. after my valve cleaning, he was putting everything back in, suddenly he went to take some cable tie to tie the cable connecting the valve to somewhere. when questioned, he said keeping the cable in such a position enables the effective and easy opening of the valve. i stunned for a while and pondered to myself (since im no expert at such mechanical issues) why such primitive methods are still utilized.
