Hi bro...gonna test this sunday in PG..test on road,feels better as the pegs are a little slightly back and raise higher...

pegs have much more grip,n being circular,the feets feels comfy n im very sure during rain,unlike the original pegs,yer feet def will not slip off the pegs..

Correct me if i'm wrong, but arent these rearsets exactly the same as the NOBUNAKA Rearsets? Also made in Thailand.

They look the same, unless my eyes are deceiving me.

Also, it seems both are made without the right side heel guard. Why is this so? So unsymmetrical. Hahaha.

nong nong ago when i just passed my 2b and i was contemplating getting an rs 125, i rmb posting a qn asking the price of our bikes, insurance, whether its expensive to maintain etc etc. And i didnt get any replies, and was dissed too. So i thought that the aprilia community was made up of a bunch of arrogant pricks.

 

But now that im a proud owner of an RS125 and im active on the forums, i realize that no one replies to that kinda posts coz its irritating. for the simple reason that the question has been answered time and time again. And a simple search of the aprilia thread with simple keywords like "maintenance" and "servicing" or "workshop" can turn up loads of answers.

 

But anyway to answer the qn by RsKav, i think it all boils down to simple common sense. Our aprilias are mere machines, same as any other bike on the market. Machines have wear and tear. and run on the simple concept of the better u take care of them and ensure that they are running properly, the longer they will last and the lesser problems they will give u. So it all depends on how much u love ur bikes.

 

For me, on my old Honda sp, i didnt reali care much. I rode the bike without warming it up, wack the s**t out of it every time and dun do regular maintenance. why? Coz i bought it cheap. All that mattered to me was it moved. And it was solely a means of transportation. But with the aprilia, i worked hard to get it. saved for months. researched. studied about it. And its more than just a means of transport. Its my baby. So everything else is just common sense. I am extra careful with it. I service the bike regularly. Im particular about what oil i use. And who touches my bike. i also warm up the bike and NEVER move off until the temp is at least 2 bars, no matter how late i am for anything.

 

At the end of the day, the question is, how much do u love ur bike? whatever comes next will be an indicator this. The rs 125 is a simple 2 stroke bike. And with it comes simple 2 stroke maintenance, same as sp's and kr's and tzm's. the only reason why our bikes need that extra attention is because generally the parts cost more than jap bikes. so we have to take extra care of them. caring for the bike will prevent unnecessary waste of money. something to consider. a top overhaul for the Honda Sp at Lorong Bapok in JB cost me around 150RM( inclusive of ciggs, drinks and poison mee goreng from the nearby stall which gave me a stomach ache and caused me to leave a trail of methane gas all the way back to pasir ris). the cheapest top end rebuild kit on PJME cost 50GBP(around 250RM) in parts alone.

 

So think abt it. If u need any SPECIFIC help on whatever problem ur bike is having, i think many of us would be more happy to answer them. Just try and do away with vague questions like "how to maintain our bikes". U'll get more answers like "bring it for spa treatment" i assure u.

I was quoted ard S$700. Ouch! But safety comes first. So Wth.. Haha

Hi kav, if you feel strong vibrations when warming up your bike, its probably normal. anyways do run your bike in well. If it persists, you might want to check your conrod or maybe your choke is slightly engaged

Haha this overhaul is for my safety. Exhaust is Juz for performance. If I got the exhaust but I have the gear prob, there won't be any performance as well.

Hello, you might want to detail which stage your bike doesn't run, keeping in mind it is a 125cc.

 

A domino fast throttle will set you back about $350.

 

Our throttle is about a 3 quarters full turn to wide open throttle, which is about the maximum wrist movement we have, which would give you good control. Which I think is more beneficial then a fast throttle for everyday riding due to the limited steering of our bike.

 

A fast throttle feeds fast into your system which will thus burn fuel unnecessarily faster, considering it's about 1/3 turn, it will be very sensitive. Do consider these factors.

Recommended alot of my frens to do their bikes there and most of them were very satisfied. Reason y is it cheaper for my bike to overhaul is becoz he use to ride aprilia and race but sold the bike long ago. So he has Alot of brand new aprilia spare parts as home. Those r his personal spares and not the company, so he sold me cheaper rather then leaving it at home to rot.

hey guys, im not too sure if my valve is opening fully. is there a way to ascertain if my valve is fully open once i hit the 7100 rpm mark? what are the tell tale signs my bike valve isnt opening ?
