Wow u guys are great. Although u all said quite a sum of information but I still no idea what you guys are referring. But I really do love my aprilia. And it's 1st hand 2 weeks old, and vibrations come along at around 70-80 km / hr. Really hard and dangerous to control on road. I just got my license too not much road exp. Wow if only I could meet someone and he willing to teach me. Lol meal on me!! But budget ah lol!!

hey guys, im not too sure if my valve is opening fully. is there a way to ascertain if my valve is fully open once i hit the 7100 rpm mark? what are the tell tale signs my bike valve isnt opening ?

8100 rpm my friend, your bike will usually surge once the valve opens(if the rpm climbs at 1k/2seconds) if not you wouldn't feel so much of an acceleration.

When the winds resist my impetus and sights become passing shadows. Every other sound is voided, all but the undeniable roar of my engine.

My physical vision recepts naught, but my mind is tranquil.

hi, anyone got spare rear brake pump? my brake pump is leaking and rear light doesn't work. 06 model.

also have a noob question. do i need to buy a fast throttle? feel like i have to open throttle a lot for it to run, not like SP which i open a little.

If you want a faster throttle but not as extreme as Domino, I highly recommend Alex's fast throttle.

You can find spiderman's product here and read the reviews in the thread.

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/217369-lt-CMO-gt-Custom-Made-Fast-Throttle

I am currently using it and I love it!

Did u happen to notice what gear u were at during that speed? If u're at the 6th gear, high tendency the bike will vibrate.

Erm.. I'm also a newbie too so can't teach u much. Those seniors can guide u better. :)

Anyway, in my opinion, this bike is meant to be ridden hard in my past 6 years of owning one. If u travel at 6th gear and maintain at that speed, the bike will get sluggish and u don't have the power/drive to 'pull' when certain 'circumstances' arise. I ride at least on the 4th gear when cruising at that speed at times. So when u wanna speed up, just a slight twist of the wrist and the engine delivers the power. Saved me in a couple of sticky situations too.

Just my 2 cents. :)

An audiophile like me, rev above 7k and the bike will sound smoother. I'm at gear 3(open valve or going to) or 4(6.5-7k rpm) at 70, I only up to gear 6 at 120-140.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but arent these rearsets exactly the same as the NOBUNAKA Rearsets? Also made in Thailand.

They look the same, unless my eyes are deceiving me. :)

Also, it seems both are made without the right side heel guard. Why is this so? So unsymmetrical. Hahaha.

Larry, the nobunaka rearsets were being sold on SBF for abt the same price as yours, the CMO thread seems to have disappeared!

It's USD 275 though on http://www.ebay.com :)

You wont believe this, i was surfing for rearsets, and i came across SATO rearsets, which look exactly as these too!

I'm thinking now who is ripping off the design from who! Thailand is sure smart!

Good deal for the Gianelli.

From here.

Apparently 37 Motoring have made a mould of it and selling the single seater too. Not sure of price. Will update. Then Larry can sell it the guys cheaper. :)

Or you guys can get the OEM single seater. The Fruit shop used to sell it for few hundred bucks. It's only 50 plus pounds excluding shipping

The single seater is coming back to me soon. My friend bought it for 200plus. If you guys are interested, get a group together and take mould and make copies. No problem with me.. I think it costs only 100plus or less to make a copy. The more u make, the cheaper it'd be i guess. It's be the onus of you guys to find a shop that can make a good copy. :)

I think Personified should be able to get any color combinations like the one offered by Nobunaka. They seem to be made by the same ppl. :) The Thais are now smart enough to make money off of us. These are nice, but the fact it's missing 1 heelguard puts me off. :( Gilles has 2 heelguard, made of CF. Dunno why this brands dont have. I think it's too fancy for a heelguard, so no space.

I found lots more cheaper rearsets online. 200plus can get. But those seem to be more geared to functionality rather than asethetics. The bunch here seems to go for more looks. So no point bringing it up.

Hey Guys,

Sub, Lawrence, previous RS125 rider here before - FX 37 plate. How r u guys? A friend of mine taking his 2b is interested in getting one so since I had an 03 model before, I got a couple questions just to clarify some things on recommending him a suitable model.

He doesn't want anything pre-05 so definitely 06 look onwards - Now at the time during the meetups at geylang, kallang mac and yishun dam, I remember the 2006 being the ideal model. At the time when I sold my bike, I also remember hearing the 2009 model didn't come with a RAVE valve kit, so you're really derestricted far from reaching 33bhp. I remember the 2006 (2007 also?) had ignition retarding at 6k rpm due to the emission standards or something like that, but mainly most important factor is that I would like to know which bike model 2006 onwards is the most highly recommended due to ease of derestricting the bike (assuming a 2nd hand bike bought was completely stock and had no modifications whatsoever)

Questions =

- Which bikes 2006 onwards are restricted and in what way? (CDI, no RAVE valve, etc etc)

- Which year model would you recommend (2006 onwards)

- If say a newer version (2008-2010) model was bought, what mods would need to be done to get the bike up to absolute derestriction?

Exhaust mods, 34mm carb are the necessary mods going to be done to the bike (i'll probably be a sub rider for his 125 too).

Thanks all for any advice you can give! I really miss my RS and the 2t smell and sound - which is why I'm actually showing more interest in his future bike than he is haha!

Cheers.

What a hectic day I have.

In the morning I went to collect my aprilia that I bought from a forumer. The bike condition was still good for a 2004 registered bike'

In the afternoon, I parked my bike at pioneer area for lunch without locking the steering. When I came back from lunch, I found out that someone had dropped my bike on the ground causing clutch lever and LHD front footrest to break! I tried moving off and realized that I can't shift the gears!(brackets were dented inwards). Ended up calling bikebulance to send my bike to 37 motoring..

Ah seng estimate that the repair for my LHD footrest bracket alone will be 100plus!

Morale of story :

1) remember to activate the steering lock.

2) remember to cover yr bike even if it's for a short while. (our bike are backside itchy a$$hole magnet)
