which bike got the highest milage per tank? could be a consideration factor for newbies. so far i know is pulsar, 17-18L, 45-60km/L. any other bike can match this?

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

only the first generation of pulsar (with silver engine) got 17-18l tank.

most pulsar you see on the road now only about 15l tank inclusive of about 2-3l of reserve.

actual consumption, i dont think pulsar can reach 60km/l. knew 2 guys who rode pulsar, previous and currently, their fc is between 40-50. maybe they throttle heavy

maybe african twin with touratech 43l tank could rival pulsar. nt too sure about its fc, but assuming its 25km/l, full tank goes about 1075km, pretty insane

My YBR 30'km per L ... With box ...

What? Your YBR spoil ah? So BAD?

45L Givi Top box, rider, load and accessories weigh more than 100kg, always open up throttle big big and it still gives me at least 40km/l.

Honda SP 150: less den 20km/litre most of time.

Is your mixture too rich? Too much petrol and not enough air going into the carb. You lose power with too rich a mixture.

I'm riding a RS125. If I whack it all the way, 17KM/L. If I ride normally, 23.7KM/L.

nothing beats the bike with magical fuel penguins.

anyway, try to give mileage in km/l. more accurate. even better would be cost per litre.

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

carry so much fuel for wat? the weight will increase fuel consumption....

Some ppl need a bigger fuel tank because they need to go far places and travel a lot. Imagine despatch rider riding his wave travel more than 150km a day? How often would he need to go to petrol station to pump petrol compared to a despatch rider who is riding a CG125?

For some of us, the slight increase in fuel consumption is worth the convenience and hassle of frequent top-ups. You lose only what, 1-3km/l? I dunno how much exactly la but my YBR, i use to carry total weight of 85kg, now i carry about 110kg, i barely get any difference in fuel consumption. Maybe 1 or 2km/l max?

Or perhaps my Magical Fuel Penguins (MGP) are adapting. :thumb:

PS: Yes, call me paranoid but i do keep an excel spreadsheet to calculate my fuel consumption everytime i top up. I am quite "niao" (particular) for a guy. :cheeky:
