saw this beautiful ducati that was for sale it was a 748sp.

Hi,

I'm also looking to get a ducati superbike. beautiful bikes those.

I saw this bike 748 @ Sporting the other day, seems like a good deal.

but then, when I spoke to someone, was told that this bike has a history.

Apparantly its been crashed pretty badly at the race track and

required major repairs. Hence the new paint scheme. Further more, the swing arm was so badly damaged that they needed an blow torch to cut part of the

lower frame before the swingarm could be removed.

Phew...the hunt keeps going on.

Heard that there's 2 more 916 ons at Motorsales and Excel. Will be going down sometime soon.

hi,

met up with james996 for a short chit chat the other day. got to see his beauty too.

heh, maybe we should organise grp outings once in a while, get to know each other/bikes better. we can also organise track days, kulai sessions, etc, if enough interest is generated.

seems like it is rather difficult to get a decent bike without some kind of history for those that are currently in the market.

I personally prefer a bike with the original paintwork..at least you know its not been in an accident and resprayed in another colour/design.

However,I am not saying all bikes that have been resprayed has been in an accident before but thats the general feeling among biker frens I know.

If anyone keen on getting a used Ducati, you might want to ask Mary from Minerva.

She has a list of contacts for those keen on selling/buying.

I read in another forum that there is a late registered yellow 916 Biposto for sale

in the shop. Not sure if its been sold yet.

Happy Duck Hunting,

Cheers!

Not entirely factual.

I was there at the crash. The crash caused mostly cosmetic damages, the usual when you have an off.

Ducati 916s swingarm bolts are prone to seizing. Mine did as well but it does not impede the function of the swing arm. The part that tends to seize is the bushing to the swingarm. Cutting the frame to release it sounds a bit far fetched.

hi fellow dukes, got a question here.As my monster 400 doesn't haf any rpm meter or tachometer and voltmeter,i was wondering can i fix aftermarket ones to it.I'd bought the 2 meters and wanted to install at minerva but they advise me not to coz its going by cable not wire.Instead to get the 500+ instrument panel from ducati.Any advise and recommendations whether to install and where to install? Thanks a lot!

Sorry mate. Can't really help you there. They (Minerva) may or may not have a point. If you're keen I can point you towards a mech who is good at these things. Else I guess you've to wait for a more tech inclined lister to help you.
