I see i see. If your bike has no more warranty. Mod all the way. hehehheheh.

Since the bike is nearing 12k only, actually you can try to clean the clutch first before attempting to change to the newer ones. Of course its a different story if the bike has already clocked 24k and above on the same plates.

Thanks for the guide, really quite detailed. I still don't dare to do it myself though as I'm not very mechanically inclined. I will definitely check if they need to be changed first though. Still no harm ordering the spares I think as I'll use them eventually.

Yo bro. Life is short. If to ride a Ducati is one of your riding dream, go for it. We only live ONCE. It is an expensive hobby ONLY if you love to add on accessories to your bike. Accessories for ducati aint cheap at all, you see. So if you are the stock go-er, no much worries on spending actually. The first major servicing for the newer ducati model such as multistrada and diavel is 24000km, as compared to the older models of 12000km. Of course in between you have the normal maintenance. Just like the Japanese bikes.

Its whole new experience to ride an Italian stallion. That is why some riders never go back to other bikes make ever.

The relationship is You like it or you hate it. ^_^

Long time Ducati thread reader, first time poster. Just wanted to say sentiments like this is why I wait for the day I get my Ducati and why I think Ducatisti are a great bunch. Hope you guys enjoy your rides in good health. :thumb:

*ps-i 'll organise another meetup to watch the world superbike again before the season 're done,4 more round after dis silverstone.

One of the more controversial topics of debate raised at Silverstone has been the times set by Carlos Checa. The Althea Ducati rider has been faster than Valentino Rossi aboard the Ducati Desmosedici GP11 MotoGP bike in every session, even besting Rossi's qualifying time (2'05.781) in every session except for FP1. This despite a 40+ hp deficit to the GP11, and obviously at a track that the seven-time MotoGP champion had never raced at before. Silverstone marked the point at which Rossi and his crew gave up on the GP11 - the old bike that he started the season with - deciding to switch to the GP11.1 at Assen, the very next round. Carlos Checa demonstrates there is very little wrong with Ducati's ability to build competitive racing motorcycles. They just need to be 1200cc, V-twins and shod with Pirelli tires.

incidentally checa qulified 4th fastest in the front row.

so go&buy a 1198r,u hear ?
