hey guys, my duc is giving me problems.

 

the problem is, after the bike temp hits 46, my voltage went up as high as 15.3v. the "check engline light" is on.

 

however, when i tried to look for the EOBD code my turning my engine off, press and hold on the left dash button and turning on the ignition, no error code was return

 

my bike's a 749. anyone knows what's wrong? thanks

My guess is voltage regulator heating up - have mechanic check it out...should not be too much to replace....just a guess based on what you wrote.

Hi all Duc bros....juz wanted all of you to know I just collected my diavel. What an experience!!

 

It was like expecting your first born, nervous, excited, scared shitless, all the highs and lows you can imagine. For a guy who stopped riding like 10 years back!!

 

Got a call from Mary to go down at 530pm so rush down from Jurong in a cab, jam allllllll the way to paya lebar. Wild thoughts ran through my mind in that hour.

 

When I did all the paperwork and got briefed suddenly I was ready to backout. I was just too nervous. Sky was threatening rain. 7pm traffic all the way on PIE. The moment I got on PIE I realized the mirrors were not adjusted and I tried and tried but could not swing it. Damn I couldn't see the rear traffic. Even more kan Cheong.

 

Then I realized the riding mode was on sports. Oh man... I wanted urban so can manage the lower power. Couldn't switch/ don't know how to!!

 

In that condition and with traffic, I stuck to left lane allllllll the way back to Jurong. Reach home relieved and proud and most importantly, enjoyed the ride. Though I have not felt so much stress in years lol.

 

Now sitting here, I realized my thighs are cramping and hurting from the balancing on 1st gear in traffic.

 

What an adventure :-)

Congrats so will I see u tomorrow? I am bringin the diavel, so we can exchange notes. Riding in heavy traffic is not much fun... Take the baby to an open road and some nice corners. Btw, anything less than 162bhp sports mode is not fun... Haha...

Well, the mirrors r only adjustable by swinging in n out, not up n down.

Yes, as per Conjuror, stay on the sports mode, shd be okay. : )

Points to note now is stay below the 5,000rpm for the running in period.

Again, as per Conjuror, exchange more notes if meeting up later.

Hi all duc bros and sisters,

One of my friend got a 999 biposto. He had replaced to OEM clutch last month after his clutch slippage. Since then, everytimes he move off from 1st gear, there is a jamming sound coming out. Is something like "herm". Unless he moved off like a turtle then is OK. He is running on ducati corse slipper clutch too.

I can hear the sound and cannot tolerate the irritating sound when I was moving off together with him.

Any experts or 'old bird' can share your experience and solve the problem?

Trying to help my 40 years old friend as he never use PC. Hee hee. Appreciates.

How do I find out where the meeting is at? I will try my best to attend as i have old school gathering tonight....may escape after awhile.

 

How do i change the riding mode....i tried everything and it just stays at touring mode?? Any help will be much appreciated. I am running in too slowly to need all that power. At 4th gear I can hear some engine knock due to low rpm so i would prefer to run on Urban until I can manage this devil lol
